Very good bagels! The bagels are a bit tough & make the sandwiches hard to bite but the flavor combinations are fantastic! Service was quick and friendly. Hot cocoa was great!

Inside was quaint but the music was too loud. I couldn't hear myself when I ordered. The bagels were out in the open (looked like they baked too many) and they tasted stale (super crunchy outside and dry on the inside). If you want jerky bagels, this is the place to go. Meijer has the better tasting bagels and cheaper.

The bagel and cream cheese was pretty good. Second time going here. The prices are a little high and service is SLOW. If you have the time, the bagel was good but don't go in a rush or on your way to work.

The only reason this place doesn't sell out of their stock everyday by noon is lack of exposure. If everyone in the city just tried one taste of their made-fresh everyday bagels they would have to buy the Van Andel Arena to prepare them to keep up with demand! Mmmmmmmmmmm!!!

I wish I could say differently, but unfortunately these people do not know how to do business properly. I went in on accident, because I had been mistaken of our bagel supplier for the cafe I’m employed at.
I went in with a list of bagels at 9am, with no one else in the store. I was very abruptly/rudely greeted by a man that was working in the baking area. Showing him my list, he looked confused (little did I know, it was because they don’t carry a few of the kinds that were listed).
His response? “We don’t even have Asiago, or blueberry bagels. These are fake bagels, and we make real bagels.” I was stunned for a second, but shrugged it off.
I responded with understanding, as it was obviously my fault for going to the wrong place, but said “Oh, okay. I have to call my boss again, because I don’t know where to go to get these bagels then.”
He then asked me where I was employed, and I responded with the name of the cafe. He got extremely snippy and uppity after I had stated the name of the cafe (I’m not going to list it on this Google review, due to the fact that this is my personal experience, and I don’t want it to reflect of my place of business).
He raised his voice and basically walked me out the store, telling me that “We don’t do business with you anymore. Haven’t in years.”
Returning to the cafe, I had let my boss know what happened, and he reassured me that throughout the entire time of us ordering from them they were very rude and we’re very particular about the way that we placed and showcased their products, after purchase.
Overall, the entire experience was negative.
All that was needed was him to let me know that I was not in the right place, and the atmosphere of the store was very grim and unexceptional.
Management needs to get over themselves and begin to treat the companies that they do business with a lot more respect, because if they treat all their customers the way that they treated me, a confused random individual, they won’t be in business much longer.
Highly suggest going to Bagel Beanery over this place any day. The staff there was smiling and happy and very sweet upon my arrival.
I totally understand eating/buying local, but I will never be walking into GR Bagel again. For good reason.
