What a gem in downtown London. The Sunday brunch was great. Food was good and ambiance is great. Service was excellent as well. Only downside is parking but what can u expect in Downtown London. You have to pay for parking in an adjacent lot not managed by the hotel. Overall the food and service will make you come back again and again.
Looking for a serene place to eat and drink after a grueling day? Look no further. Take the hotel elevator down to the Armouries Grille! Situated on an elevated balcony you'll be greeted with the magnificent stonescape of the historic armory. I recommend starting your dinner with an amaretto sour ... a classic. Dig into the ribeye steak or the duck confit - you won't regret it. Even the burgers here pack a punch! And if you dive into a second drink, just smile and enjoy the magic carpet ride!
Went for Sunday brunch. It was unexpectedly an all you can eat buffet. I would have expected to play at most $30 per plate, especially since this was brunch and not dinner, but it was $50 plus tip per plate!
We went for breakfast this morning and both had the eggs Benedict. My wife had the regular bacon one and I had the salmon Benedict. Since we were celebrating we ordered a waffle and split it for desert. Overall the food was a 4-4.5 but the service made it a 5 star. The place has a nice ambiance.
The atmosphere is nice and Jason Mercer playing acoustically over brunch is fantastic but when it came to the food and servers the delta brunch is less than desirable. My husbands omelette was grossly undercooked, the only available sauce with roast beef was ketchup because the “the chef must’ve forgotten to make au jus today”. There were bugs in the orange juice and the bathrooms were under construction. Customers were redirected to a hotel room for everyone to share a single washroom with a 20 minute line up. Not only is this unacceptable, it’s gross. No one wants to smell the person in front of them because you’re sharing an enclosed bathroom with a single toilet with all patrons. This also created quite the headache for those in wheelchairs. Not once we’re we asked how our food or experience was, nor were we offered more water or drinks. My husband ended up drinking my water because our servers were MIA. Had we been asked, we would have drank several more mimosas. Servers need to learn how to upsell more efficiently or at the very least be more perceptive of what’s going on around them and notice when customers need drinks. The delta used to be such an incredible brunch and experience but sadly it’s not what it used to be. Save your $45pp and go elsewhere.
The Armouries Grille is a fun place for breakfast. I once lived in London but never went during that time. I decided to try it while returning to visit family. It wasn’t disappointing at all. The breakfast was great and the ambience of the hotel made it fun. I enjoyed the skillet. Someday maybe I will actually stay in the hotel itself
One of the best gourmet meals that you can enjoy eating with your fingers! This is no 'finger food' - breaded, heavy and soggy. The Bone-in Pork Riblets are from another planet! To be honest, initially the menu didn't really speak to me. All the items were the same as everywhere else. I almost got the 'fancy' Smokey Sweet Heat pizza because I was desperate. But Dominique suggested the pork riblets and I am glad I listened. Both bartenders were very personable and quick to make a connection, but also leave you alone when needed. I only wish I could do this more often...
We went here for breakfast on a Saturday morning and it was a great experience. The waiting staff are friendly, attentive and courteous. The food was perfect and worth the price. There is a wonderful atmosphere in the lobby aside from an occasional rude guest. The armory memorabilia is available throughout the second floor as well.Food: 5/5
The service, for our large party, was perfect. No errors in any orders, which is always a plus. The food was wonderful, the prime rib done perfectly. With a large party, even thos we had many individual checks, the tip was already added in at 18%. I like the way the credit card machine is brought to you rather than your card going with the server. I wish more places did that. Very nice choices on the bar and wine list too.
Beautiful part of the hotel, staff was kind, I got the breakfast burrito and although it was super messy it was also delicious
