Reliable, reasonable, and professional. The staff at AJPH are fantastic. We’ve had several jobs done by AJPH, from on demand hot water, to small jobs like a faucet. Their prices are reasonable and consistent with the industry. Quotes are accurate and their work is always done on time.

We have used this company twice. Had we known we were given misinformation about a mobile home water supply line at the first service call, there never would have been a second service call. The work performed at the first service call which was an emergency was quick, efficient and reasonable. However, we were told at that time the water supply line beneath the mobile home was okay, when in fact it was not up to code at all. We found this information out later by 2 different plumbing companies. At the second service call, it took 2.5 hours to install one new dishwasher that was right beside kitchen sink changing the water lines from dishwasher only to new ones attached to existing under the sink. Then, it took 1 hour to change the supply taps to the washing machine. We were charged while the plumber ate his lunch in the truck. Also, we called twice to get a quote, and they never bothered to return our calls. Definitely hire somebody else.

I am posting this as a caution to anyone who is considering using this company. We had Archie Johnson come to look at a plumbing problem and the plumber was not competent, he was not able to fix anything. They then sent us a bill for $165. When we complained about the plumbing service, they said too bad, you have to pay the bill anyways and were quite rude on the phone. We tried to reason with them and spoke to the owner to let him know that the plumber he sent was incompetent. We offered to pay half the bill to cover the charges of the house call, but he refused to budge on the invoice. The matter was referred to a collection agency and they tanked our credit rating. These people have no empathy for their clients and are completely incompetent. Do not hire them. I wish that we had read the other reviews before calling them.

Installed new dishwasher as old one gave up. Technician was here for maybe 30 minutes. He had to come back because he kinked the drain hose. They charged us 2 hours. Not very fair to charge us extra hour for a technician's mistake.

We had our heating and plumbing done by this company. Was the person working on our house drunk? It was extremely sloppy. Nothing was cleaned. They left 3 pipes sticking out of the wall. Everything was left practically unfinished. Sections of our drywall were ripped out completely and not at least aside to be put back on. Oh also, the floors were not protected or if they were, not very well as dusty shoe prints and globs of spackle were left everywhere. I would not recommend this company at all.

Customer service at AJP is obsolete. My first impulse is to trust the professionals at local businesses. By the time I had finished doing business with Archie Johnston Plumbing, I felt scammed. I called for an estimate because an outdoor drain was backing up and I knew it needed excavation and a pump. I was charged 2 hours labour for this. Why? Because AJP called it a ‘service call’ instead of an estimate. When I complained, I was told that the original invoice ‘stands’. Later, they relented and shaved an hour off. I have never heard of a business charging for an estimate, especially if you hire them to do the work. I was also subjected to a hard sell to get my perimeter drain assessed. Because it wasn’t connected to the problem at hand, I said ‘no’ twice but, after much discussion, they convinced me that it was necessary. I have an old house so I knew a sluggish, plugged up perimeter drain is normal. Guess what? Three hundred dollars later, the assessment told me that I have a sluggish, plugged up perimeter drain with no other specific information. I was beginning to feel like I had just contributed to the Christmas party fund. They installed a pump to solve my problem. I believe that the pump was bigger than was needed, but it is doing the job. Unfortunately, the hole was left uncovered and it is right in front of my door! I was told that someone was making me a metal grate for more money! but I never heard from anyone again. I feel like the victim of a money grab and I’m so unhappy with the whole mess. Beware!

Best plumbing company I have ever dealt with! I called with a leak in my bathroom, got a plumber the same day with excellent customer service! I would recommend and definitely will be using them in the future. Way to go Archie's!
