Everything was top notch from the time walk-in and the time you leave. The warm bread just melts in your mouth we had 3 baskets and olive oil before our meal and we had room to eat our entree. The fried calamari was nice and crunchy even my 2 year old ate it with no problem. Plate size is just enough and not overfilling so you have time room for dessert. The real deal for homemade pasta and gelato. Can’t say enough about our waitress and staff they were phenomenal as well. Definitely will be back to try everything on the menu.
Had the most amazing experience at this restaurant. My fiance and I came for our anniversary and cannot emphasize enough how delicious the food was. We are ‘foodies’ and every dish we ordered was better than the next. Our server Lucy, was amazing and made some great food suggestions! I would definitely order the octopus appetizer and the pudding for dessert, those are phenomenal. We will definitely be going regulars here
My friend and I went for dinner tonight, after finding the place on google maps and seeing that the menu looked good. I’m so glad we came. Daniela was our server and she was phenomenal. The food was exquisite - starting with the best bread I’ve ever had, then we got today’s special antipasti of the baked goat cheese which was *chef’s kiss* I ordered the gnocchi delicati for my entree which I was considering just from looking at the menu online but Daniela said the gnocchi was a speciality and I was glad I had picked it. It was delicious. Definitely recommend!
Summer in Sicily. Antico Posto is a true gem. Always top notch Italian fare. From the servers, to the greeters, to the chef -- you will always feel welcome and leave having enjoyed a thoroughly delightful evening and exceptional meal. Make sure to try their wine pairing events! Simply superb!
Location is very nice, easy to make reservation thru Open Table app. Food was good, but the only reasons I didn’t give it a 5 star is one because the gnocchi didn’t taste like gnocchi. The texture was very airy, almost like eating a cloud. The taste was good, but they definitely were not gnocchi. We ordered fried calamari as an appetizer, they were so good. The bread with the olive oil and giardiniera was also very good. The ravioli splendori were very good. The margherita pizza was good, did not see any pesto on it which on the menu is included as an ingredient. The Italian sausage pizza was okay, it was very heavy and the taste of fennel was very strong. The other reason I didn’t give it five stars is the fact that food is heavily condimented and felt like didn’t digest even after the evening came. I took leftover pizza in a carry out box and the box was penetrated with oil from the pizza! I might give it a second chance but order other items in the menu that are lighter.
Delicious food! The pasta is amazing, and I’m in love with their desserts! Appetizers were also very good and unique. I would most definitely recommend this restaurent to anyone.
Stopped in for lunch got chicken chopped salad, it was really good. Could of used a little more dressing and no I did not ask for more ate it the way it was and it was so delicious. Got cavatelli sausage pasta, lots of flavor, only complaint to many seeds from sausage, is more of a personal thing I don't like caraway seeds. Still managed to finish entire dish. Tried the Margarita pizza, very good. Will be back to try other dishes for sure.
Went here for chicago restaurant week. The food was delicious & we loved the ambiance! While service was lacking from our server which I why I did not give 5 stars , we still had a great time. I got the minestrone soup, chicken meatballs so good, eggplant Parmesan divine; eggplant was crispy & pasta was fresh & perfect texture & chocolate budino like a flourless chocolate cake & red wine for $39. The free bread with the marinated olives was also delish! Will definitely return & hope we get a better server next time. She was not very nice or welcome to us but the rest of the staff were.
This place was fantastic. From the service to the food and everything in between. I went here with my daughter and we had a great time. This is a must stop if you like Italian food.
I've experienced several other Italian cuisine restaurants in the Oak Brook area but this one far exceeded my expectations. The food is fresh, homemade, and delicious!! My palate is still dancing from the flavors that it experienced today.
