I’ve eaten here a couple of times and I feel like this place is kind of a hidden gem at Oakbrook. The quality of the food for the most part is super impressive and always fresh. Their French fries are probably my favorite part of every meal there, so so good. Not so good are the taco appetizers they are tiny and come in a crunchy shell, don’t let the menu fool you. Also one star off for the slow service we had today, it took us about 30 min after we were done with our food to close our bill. Otherwise great place and great food if you can catch it at a less busy time!
Came here midday on a Saturday and was sat right away. Our server didn’t greet us for at least 6-7 minutes but was helping out the table right next to us the entire time — could’ve at least told us she’d be right over. Our coffee was cold and had to be remade. Monkey bread appetizer was good, except for about 1/3 of the bread pieces being burnt and hard. Waited 20 more minutes for our food after the appetizer came, even though the restaurant was not busy at all. Eggs benedict came out lukewarm, borderline cold and the egg was hard boiled rather than poached. Not very much hollandaise sauce on it either. Overall a pretty bad experience, food was not good and very overpriced and the service was very slow.
So accommodating! Loved our experience! 15 minute wait at lunchtime holiday evaporated as we sat near bar, ordered cocktails and got menu! Great menu choices, excellent service! Loved our waiters! Added pumpkin seeds to our salad as a surprise bonus like they used to feature! Cucumber basil mash cocktails! Yum! Niçoise & chicken salads also yum!! Ate every bite!! Located In Nordstrom at Oak Brook
Our waitress was an angel! I left my card on the table and she chased us through Norstrom to give it back! She also had great recommendations!
This is one of the hidden gems of the Oak Brook shopping center. The restaurant is located inside the Nordstrom store. The menu is simple and the good is outstanding!!!
We have gone to the cafe in Nordstrom for probably the last 15 years since our children were quite young. It is a great place to bring kids and have really good quality food served in quick fashion. Now that the kids are grown, we still enjoy going because we're nowhere going to get delicious meal at reasonable prices served quickly. There is also rarely a wait for a table. The servers are always friendly and professional. If you happen to go in October, the pumpkin cupcakes with cream cheese frosting are one of the best desserts we've ever enjoyed. A go to location anytime. We're hungry and want to be assured we can get seated quickly. Kid-friendliness: A wonderful restaurant to bring children. Parking: We usually park in the underground garage as space is readily available near Nordstrom.
Thank you for a beautiful day at Ruscellos. Our service by Kristen was excellent. Very kind and professional. She is ready to do whatever it takes to make your experience Excellent. And the amazing food choices were hard to choose from. We had appetizers, the salmon Nicqua salad, shrimp and pasta, chicken Pomodoro… It was all fantastic. We finished with the chocolate heath cake and coffee. Shopping at Nordstrom’s is always such a fun uplifting experience and to highlight that with a meal at Ruscellos made the day perfect.
I always joked that I wanted to have a drink at the bar by the men’s section in Nordstrom, so I finally went for it. HOLY WOW. I tried the blueberry vodka cocktail as well as the billionaire and I was blown away. These are the types of drinks I expect in downtown Chicago or some other metropolis where thought and procedure into drinks are emphasized. Ryan was the bartender and in watching him, I was blown away with his attention to detail from his double straining down to the zesting of the glass. Pure art. I will 100% come here again as the drinks are on par with seasons 52, Blanco and others. A true hidden gem.
If you are at the Oakbrook mall check out this hidden gem. Frankie took great care of us. Food was excellent & the best chicken noodle soup ever. They need to expand the bar area as it only seats about six. The Manager Michael to Michelle who took over when Frankie abandoned us. Just kidding his shift was over. Probably the best thing in that store since Ron worked in the mens suit department years ago. Just to recap - Awesome staff - Great service - Great Great team - Please don’t change anything except a larger bar - If you build it they will come
I'm never disappointed eating here. Today I ordered the shrimp salad and my husband ordered the crispy chicken salad. The service was impeccable and the salads were a very satisfying size - mine had about 1/2 dozen succulent jumbo shrimp on top and my husband said he wouldn't mind coming back to eat there again he liked it so much score!. We'll be back!
