The appetizers were very good, we had to wait for our mains for very very very long time, some of us had the seafood half cold half very hot, the calamari was like rubber, the pasta with meat the red sauce was overcooked and had no taste had to add a ton of salt just to feel something, music was very loud!!! But overall a nice place, next time only starters for us, tuna tartar was amazing!

I went to brunch with my parents here yesterday. The cinnamon swirl pancakes were amazing. The portions were huge and delicious. The atmosphere and service were also great with live music. A really awesome experience that I wasn't expecting.

SUCH a lovely spot for brunch, lunch and dinner! I have had all three and each one is special for different reasons... The brunch is luxurious AND affordable, which is such a rare combination. Lunch is the perfect escape from the daily grind with the natural lighting streaming in the restaurant and easy-going vibes. However, dinner is probably my favourite time to visit Angelina as you really feel like you've escaped Ottawa which is a good thing if you didn't know lol.... The food selection is to DIE FOR, the music is fire, the ambiance is trendy and warm at the same time, and the staff are very personable and genuinely care about giving you a memorable dining experience not just taking your order and dropping your stuff off at the table smh.nALSO IF YOU WANT SOME INSANE COCKTAILS, THIS IS YOUR SPOT!! They're gorgeous AND delicious. Plus, the bartenders are always happy to make you something unique or something that isn't on the menu which is super cool and fun.nBonus points for not being downtown cause I hate fighting parking/ traffic....

Ultimately, Angelina feels like a classic case of style over substance. The presentation is undoubtedly Instagram-worthy, but the lackluster flavors and glacial service simply can not justify the exorbitant prices. You're paying for the name, not the quality.nnI have tried risotto in many places, and they make the less flavored or worse imo.nSo do the other dishes according to my family.nnVerdict: Skip it. There are far better restaurants in the ottawa offering more flavorful food, better service, and significantly better value for your money. I definitely would not come back.
