I had the pleasure of visiting the Duncan store today and felt I had to write.nFull of anticipation of not being understood and of being made to feel a fool I asked if i could be helped with the connections to reattach the water pipe to my fridge freezer. I couldn’t have received a better service, the team were very kind and incredibly helpful. Joshua W was able, not only to provide me with the parts I needed but also show me and explain what to do and how to use them.nI came home, did as I was instructed and my fridge water is running again and ice cubes are freezing as I write.nAmazing customer service, to be applauded. Thank you so very much!

As a homeowner Came in with some tap valves that were leaking and needing new washers or replacement units . Although the counter service seemed initially helpful in the end they put no effort into assisting me source another valve nor supply me washers . They essentially advised me there was nothing they could do for me .nI then went over to the local home hardware and nothing short of three staff went all out to assist me . A observing that there were model numbers etched in the side that could be looked up to match a replacement b going online and through there stock of replacement cartridge’s exhaustively to try and find a replacement c determining that replacing the rubber washers might fix the issue d disassemble cartridge inserting new washer e supplying me a pack of washers to replace the one in the other valve .nnTotal cost to me 3.50$ and alot of goodwill earned by home hardware staff.nnPoor goodwill earned by andrew sheret staff .nnClearly they have no interest in assisting homeowners simple inquiries.

I have been restoring and retro fitting a Classic Grand Banks Sedan Cruiser and was confronted by a number of plumbing issues. Not being a plumber, I called our regular household plumber who was really helpful, but a bit stumped on a mixer valve issue. Gus suggested I contact Thierry your Duncan, BC branch manager and boy was Gus right. Thierry was great! He listen to my problem, laid out a couple of options, and then put the package together that I needed to finish the job. I am retired, but owned and ran a business for over 30 years. I would have died to find such an employee. All the folks at your Duncan branch were helpful and courteous and it is understandable considering who is overseeing the shop. Thierry is a valuable asset to your organization and should be recognized as such. Andrew Sheret will have all of my business going forward, and I will definitely spread the word. Any of the commercial suppliers is always a busy place of activity, and as someone who's skilled in plumbing but not officially a plumber, I'm always cautious and respectful about interfering in their busy daily activities. I had a problem in one of my properties where I lost the pressure regulator and it was a really old system that I had to match up. I went in and was helped by a really nice fellow Lorn who through the discussion and a few photos gave me the ideas of what I would need to do. I went back down with more confidence to remove the old regulator very deep in the ground and returned back with the components we needed to figure out. By this time it was much busier and I was helped out by Thierry who again took the time to help me out and within minutes had all the parts scoped out that I needed. I went back and installed the regulator assembly within 5 minutes as everything fit perfectly. My point of this rating is that there's more to a rating system and hopefully any business understands that some of us customers that have needs beyond the commercial clientele, really appreciate the knowledge and good nature of people willing to help. This goes a long way in securing a brand name. On the other side of the coin, I understand that the business effectively runs on commercial work and also that there are a lot of people who should not be plumbing coming in and wasting their time. Again I really appreciate the time that this office has taken to help me out! More than once I might add! Thank you guys!
