We had a great time at this campaigner, aside from the aggressive behavior and communication we experienced from some of their on-site staff. Beautiful location and incredible proximity to Pineview Reservoir.
The people were nice. They have vault toilets. It’s a nice campground except for the price. I stayed in my car, no power, no water. I had a picnic table and a fire ring and it cost me $30 for the night. There are lots of trees for possible shade and my cell phone and wi-fi worked. They have preset up tents available tho I stayed in my car.
The most organized campground I’ve been. Staff were very helpful and nice to be around. Campground very well maintained.
Great campground location - has access to reservoir which is beautiful with the backdrop behind. Staff all seem super kind and the sites are pretty level and large.
Unfriendly staff. Website says dogs are welcome except in the day area and beach, but the staff went very out of their way to communicate we weren't welcome there at all. We have two small, quiet dogs too; pics for reference. It's not like we wanted to bring big, badly behaved pitbulls or mastiffs in there
This is a lovely National Forest campground just a short drive up beautiful canyon. I visited midweek in September and had a whole loop to myself. It's flat so it's fun for bike riding. The lake was too low for launching this year, but it's very pretty.
No dogs allowed on the beach here or on any private beaches. The signage could be more clear and the people enforcing this could be way more considerate. We had already unloaded a kayak after paying the hefty entrance fee and we were told to leave. We were also told to leave an empty, unmarked shelter we sat at while my spouse was tying back up the kayaks. However the ladies in the office were really nice and apologized. I recommend clearer signs .
Quite a beautiful campsite with friendly, easygoing staff and a perfect swimming beach, but a surprising lack of infrastructure for a campground of this scale. There are only vault toilets available and a limited number of potable water spigots. If you are tent camping, plan ahead. Bring water, sanitary supplies and a way to keep you and your food cool.
No dogs allowed in the water at all. So, that's disappointing. Basic sites, so you can enjoy the sounds of generators. The lake is gorgeous. It's plenty nice find for a stopover while traveling. We were glad sites were available!
Nice place for a Day Use picnic. Sadly, the area is suffering from drought so the lake is quite low and a long way from the picnic sites, and the grass is only watered by rainfall so the area is quite brown this time of year. That said, the facilities are good and generally in good repair for a public campsite.
