Ancom Chinese Restaurant

Old, neighbourhood Chinese food restaurant that has been there for at least 40 yrs. Many different owners, with most recent being newest. Serve the standard Canadian-style Chinese food at reasonable prices, and serving sizes. Consistent quality with no surprises if you decide to order clearly and slowly.

The chicken wings are really good so is the wonton soup and dim sum. All their food is really tasty. Ambions is lacking but service is friendly enough. It's owned and run by family members.

GARBAGE>>>>>>>Okay so I ordered orange chicken, beef noodles and spring rolls and when the food came the gentlemen did not have the debit machine, he said he would come back shortly. As he made his way to the restaurant to acquire the machine and subsequently payment from us, we had discovered that our orange chicken was in fact not orange chicken. So when the gentlemen returned we promptly notified him and he went back to retrieve the chicken.During the time of his absence we had called the delivery disaster of a restaurant in order to verify that our orange chicken was coming and they assured us that it had just left the door. Shortly after he arrived for a third time this time without my orange chicken and with a ten dollar bill so at that point he had just sold me 18$ worth of beef noodles and disrupted my friend's sickly mother with his shenanigans...looking back at this all I can say is that, I should have gotten pizza .

Ordered the mushrooms and veggie dish and the veggie lo main, speedy service that did not end too well: felt sick. Friend ordered the lemon chicken, but wasn't prepared for the amount of oil and couldn't eat it. Maybe this was an off night for this place, maybe it was an off night for my and my friends tummy, no idea which. The restaurant has so many positive reviews, so no idea what was the culprit, but I will most likely never go back.

Ordered a black bean sauce with chicken/rice lunch special - the entire takeout dish was full with onions and carrots. About 3 pieces of chicken and broccoli. Very little sauce and the rice seemed to be stale. Alot has changed in this place since the older Chinese lady used to run it. Not sure if she's still around. Definitely won't be going back again.. paid $8.75 for what should have been a $4 dish.
