Ended up staying here after locking ourselves out of our home. It was a good find. Clean, spacious rooms. Very nice pool and hot tub. Breakfast was fresh with ample choices. For the price, I would recommend this place over any other comparable hotel in the area.

I picked AmericInn in Petoskey for affordability thinking you get what you pay for. I have a housekeeping background and looked for something wrong. To my surprise and pleasure I found everything to be more than acceptable. The staff was helpful and genuinely interested in my comfort. I will definitely be staying with you in the future. I stayed , when I was transitioning to my new house. They have great home backed cookies at the desk. Nice breakfast, excellent coffee. Super nice front desk people. Very clean rooms. Quiet

I am appalled! Despite having hosted numerous birthday parties in this hotel because of what used to be wonderful service and a clean pool, the manager "Dan" called me 1 DAY before my son's scheduled pool party (WHICH I RESERVED 1 MONTH PRIOR) To tell me the pool is closed. In fact he told me the pool is empty. When I asked for more information DAN got loud and rude. We will never, ever use this hotel again!! Now I have less than 24 hours to try and replan my son's birthday and notify all our guests. Further more I was recommending this hotel to all of our out of town wedding guests for our September wedding! Guess what, AmericInn won't even be listed amongst our lodging lists and the guests I have recommended I will tell to reconsider!!!!

Not allowing a pet who travels with us everywhere. Better behaved than the unsupervised children who were running up and down the corridor past 9 pm. Several times asking them or the front desk to be quieter. Will not recommend this place. Stayed here several times. Not again.
