I have used Alberta computers a few times and they have always came through. A couple months ago I was having problems with my laser printer not scanning and they sent someone to my house and they had the problem fixed in under an hour. I bought a asus tablet type laptop from them and it’s been great. I’m really glad I didnt buy a bulky traditional laptop. It was all because of their recommendation. I’ll be buying all my computers here in the future.

I took my Sony smartphone in for a screen repair, and a faulty screen was installed as a replacement. The screens too drop down menu became unresponsive about a month after installation. In addition the screen was not affixed properly and would constantly lift in the corners. I was advised by the repair tech that this was normal and to keep pushing the corner down, he was rude and condescending and gave me the impression that warranty work wasn't an option. After several months my screen cracked from constantly pushing the corner down.
I finally got fed up and I took the phone back for warranty repair, and while replacing the faulty and now cracked screen the tech wrecked my dual sim card reader, and installed the wrong bezel colour. He switched the bezel back to my original colour and original screen, but lost my screen protector.
When I complained that my phones sim card readers weren't working, I was told that my phone was defective and that it was overheating (Sony phones are notoriously warm) and when I attempted to assert this fact I was scoffed at and dismissed.
My phone worked perfectly (except the faulty screen) before taking it in for warranty repair, and suddenly didn't work after the tech took it apart twice. It cannot read a sin card and is useless as a phone.
I was promised a refurbished phone for my troubles (no refund offered) and both times I went in to collect it, It wasn't available or the employees didn't know what I was talking about. The owner hasn't returned the calls I've made on the matter and I have effectively given up. Shame on me for trusting a small town local business.
I would not trust Alberta computers to repair your smartphone. If they break it while repairing they will feed you as many BS lines as possible until you give up on finding a resolution.

Don't waste your time even walking in their door. Used to be $115 a couple of months ago to replace the front screen. The staff member was very rude like he didn't have time to talk to me, and quoted me a minimum $250.00 and I woulf have to leave it there overnight. Prices are outrageous and customer service is terrible. Don't bother with Alberta computers.

Absolutely blown away by the customer service at this outfit. For starters, these guys will not scam you or waste your time.
I have built many computers in my day and the most recent build wasn't going great. Dropped off to see if the boys could diagnose as i was loosing my mind (no boot / no post). They concluded i recieved a lemon of a psu and it fried the mobo. (Newegg purchase) I bit the bullet and purchased a new psu and mobo because i didnt want to wait for rma, build is for a friend. Buddy told me he'd put it together for a measly 40$ as majority of the build was done, and if parts were defective they would replace. Great deal! So i said ok. No more headaches for me.
-came back the next day to pick up, and first thing they said to me is we owe ya XX amiunt of $ as a refund. I was baffled. Buddy went on to explain they tinkered with the defective mobo, saudered a bunch of stuff, fixed potentially bent pins... and why? Because they are frigin awesome! I already paid for new mobo amd expected nothing more than assembly at this point. These guys go out of their way to save you money. This kind of service is incredibly rare in this world. I will never go to a different tech shop again, not in gp anyways.
Thanks guys!!
