I had a deck installed by another tech, but it wasn't working correctly. John was willing and able to diagnose the issue even though I had not purchased the product from him. He took a couple minutes of his own time and didn't charge me. That's service! I will recommend Airdrie Auto Trends to everyone looking for Car audio and remote starters!
I was in Alberta late last year for a month and decided to get a remote car starter for the winter while I was out there. A friend recommended Airdrie and he recommended well. The staff were so friendly and installed my starter way faster than I ever expected. I haven't had any problems with it so all I can say is this is the place to go. I saw them doing some car audio installs while I was there and would definitely say to check these guys out!
I've been taking all my vehicles to Jon since shortly after he opened in 2009. He has always provided me with quality service and helpful advice. I have recommended Airdrie Auto Trends to a lot of my friends as well and they have come away with positive experiences and good things to say about Jon and his workmanship. I would never think about taking my vehicle elsewhere and would highly recommend Airdrie Auto Trends to anyone who's looking for top quality service and products.
Jon is a true pro. On top of always providing top quality service, he really knows everything that is automotive electronics. After my front speakers stopped working on my brand new WRX and the dealership serviced the car 5 times over 14 weeks and never fixed it new amp, speakers, head unit, you name it. Finally they told me I had to have my remote starter and SmartStart module removed for them to solve the problem. I called Jon and he had me bring the car in right away. It took Jon a whole 35 seconds to fix the problem!!!!! He immediately noticed a strange pop from the factory sub and realize there was a short in the connector. He fixed the connector and MAGIC I had my sound back. I won't go anywhere else for starters, audio and custom. Thanks Jon!!!!
I bought 2 hid light systems for me and my wife. All parts right there instock. With chatting and the info John gave me I was able to install both systems easy and fast. Everything was sold to me the first time not running back for any extra stuff. The lights work and look great. Thanks John, If I ever need anything for my vehicles I won't hesitate to come back
EXTREMELY POOR SERVICE> The first time I was there I purchased an alarm for my wife's car and everything was good, other than a little pricey. The next year I took my boat there and purchased speakers and the accessories to go with it....and had them install it. Again other than a little pricey everything was good. Then this year my son purchased a'new to him' truck and it came with an alarm system. Right after he buys the truck the alarm screws up so I call Airdrie Auto Trends to see if they can take a look. assuming that I am a valued customer after having spend a few thousand dollars there. I was told they couldn't look at it because if it was towed in they couldn't work on it outside....funny that's where they did a bunch of the work on my boat? Then they told me that it was probably the starter.....for F##K's sake does this guy think he' the only one that has spent time under a hood!! Then he just outright tells me that he can't help me! WOW!!! Some of the other shops in town all comment about this guy and how he does business...always there when you want to buy something but after that your on your own! He's has made his last penny off me....I will drive to Calgary to get any audio or alarm work done from this point forward. So much for trying to support local business!! UPDATE.......One phone call to The Car Salon on 32nd ave. and when they found out that we couldn't move the truck they sent out a service guy to fix the "ignition kill switch" that car alarms have. That is what good service looks like!
Was living in Calgary for a year and found this gem of a shop. I wanted to get some sweet speakers for my ride and they hooked me up with the best they had at a really great price. I would recommend this place to anyone in the area! Great service and quick installations, what more could you want?
Jon is amazing at what he does. Brought in my vehicle to get a consult about upgrading my whole audio system, and he talked me through the options and process, and I decided to go for it. The work is flawless and I love my new system and the professionalism of Jon and everyone at Airdrie Auto Trends. I've been recommending this place to everyone I can.
Share review Embed review Edit review 1.0 star rating 3/6/2017 I bought headlights from this scammer and I went to put them in and they are cheap China junk that will not fit. I went to ask him about them he said I was installing them wrong. I told him why they would not fit and he didn't seem to believe me. I brought the light in with the original and showed him and he said interesting. i ask if he would take it back or at least credit me the cost to a different set he refused. he said it is a conversion kit and needs some modifying. I ask how and he tells me he would have to put it in an oven to take the glass off and re position it. I said OK then do that but he said that I would have to pay for that. I have been a parts man all my life and I have never had to have something like that done to any aftermarket headlights to make them fit. Maybe he should advertise that or at least tell you before you buy them.
I bought a HID system from this vendor and am most disappointed. The installation job was terrible. Light bulb was loose and cracked only after a few months. Went back for a replacement bulb and was confronted with resistance. Vendor even questioned if I had installed the bulb correctly when he did the job himself. When I finally got a replacement bulb, he threatened it would be the last replacement. When I installed the bulb, I discovered he didn't even replace it with the same color temperature. The other bulb is out now. I have been told by another vendor there's definitely something wrong with the installation. I am going to rip out the whole installation and replace it with something else. This install was a waste of money. The vendor was unhelpful and I would never return.
