Unique food experience for me since I have never tried Nigerian food before and it was really good! And spicy if you want it!. The appetizers wings were really good, and carliflower was a yummy but a bit too small bits. Drink I ordered rum based was okay, but still good. The mains were all very generous portion give today's inflation. Each dish we got was different and meat were tenders and well seasoned. One thing to note is the service is that that each main of our order came out all at different times, so we waited for each other and the food gotten cold because of it. Also kinda awkward to watch the delicious food infront of you and can't touch. It's a new place, so I am sure they will improve.
What an amazing place. You guys are doing such a fab job. Absolutely delicious food and service. It could be tricky finding this place as they operate inside another cafe called Caravan Cafe. We ordered jollof party rice and prawns with coconut rice, so flavourful and yummy.
We ordered: - sticky suya hot wings: sooo good, the peanut rub is so tasty! - kelewele tostones: the cinnamon touch is nice, but we think it would be more delicious when eaten at the store. takeaway makes it less crunchy - party jollof: sooo good, everything is delicious, definitely our new favourite meal - ajebutter garlic shrimp: so good, the coconut rice is soo delicious! i’m from Singapore so i know a good coconut rice/ nasi lemak TLDR: we didnt have any expectations when we ordered from here and merely wanted to try out new restaurant in the hood. twas a delicious dinner, we look forward to trying out everything else on the menu! Edit one week later to add: we went back to dine at the restaurant and had Lagos Lemak. It was delicious, so close to the Malay Nasi Lemak! we also brought our friends for dinner and everyone truly enjoyed their meals. We’ll be back!!!
I took my friend who had never had Nigerian food before. All the dishes were hits. Will definitely return. Love service and the vibe of this place. Update: visited this restaurant again last week of May. Food is amazing at the Afrobeat kitchen. The staff are pretty chill too. Gonna bring more friends to try it this month. This place is that good.
One of my new favourite restaurants in the city, and now I understand why this spot is rated so highly, the jollof rice and egusi were incredible! The food was perfectly spiced, fresh and piping hot out the kitchen. Looking forward to my next visit Thank you Afrobeat Kitchen for hosting us!
Really nice atmosphere and hospitable service. You could tell that the food was prepped with lots of care and integrity. The jollof rice was seasoned very well and the chicken was tender as ever. I could appreciate an increase in their portion, however, my overall experience was great! And I look forward to returning to try the rest of their menu.
Amazing place to check out. The food is top and well priced - you won't be leaving this place hungry or disappointed. The Jollof with chicken is a big recommendation. Service is very friendly and accommodating. Definitely worth to come back.Food: 5/5
One of my favourite meals out in Toronto! This place was amazing. Service is so great. Aaron was super friendly and checked in often to make sure we were all set and having a good time. Ordered three dishes: the miso mafe, chicken jollof, and tostones to start. The starter has a delicious mayo sauce perfectly spiced. My favourite was the chicken jollof. The rice was perfectly seasoned with just enough spice. The miso mafe with coconut rice was also perfectly cooked. Will definitely come back and order takeout from here again. Highly recommend the ginger beer as well.
Really great and tasty west African food options. First time having fufu and I'll definitely be back to have some more. The staff were very friendly and appreciative of our visit. Thank you!
Ordered my food late at night through Uber Eats. Was my first time trying jollof and it’s so delicious! Definitely want to try more menu items in the future! They shared a Spotify playlist on the bag and it made my day.
