Mission

To address the cultural, social and religious needs and issues of the Afghan-Canadian families to make a positive difference in their lives by:

* Establishing a community centre to offer a place
* for Fateha assemblies, group prayers (Jama’at), weekly religious and educational sessions, seminars, round-table discussions, inter-faith learning sessions and etc.
* Celebrating Islamic and National events
* Establishing a school where children, youth and
* adults can learn Quran, Islamic Studies and Farsi language
* Providing children and youth with educational and recreational trips
* Developing a Library and distributing cultural, religious and educational publications
* Offering help, support and full funeral services to members who lost their loved ones
* Offering social support for newcomers to Canada to help them learn about Canada and its culture

This place has been a very positive experience for me especially during Muharram 2022, when I was attending English lecture by shiate Professor Hadi Qazwini.nThey also have Farsi majlis after namaz Maghreb with the jamaatnThey have maintained the community Center very well, people are Very welcoming and the volunteers are very helpful too.nnDuring Muharram 1-12 there was sabeeL outside the Center, I’m glad they do security checks.nI bought Imam hussain sweatshirts and T-shirts for my family from here.
Masjid-e Jameh Afghanha is a place of profound serenity and spiritual solace. Though modest in its age, this mosque stands as a beacon of community and faith. The individuals who serve here do so with an exceptional level of kindness and consideration, creating an atmosphere that is warm and welcoming to all. The Imam is a figure of immense respect and piety, leading with both humility and wisdom. This mosque is not just a place of worship, but a sanctuary of peace and reflection, where one can find true tranquility.
I'm always in the women's section at the mosque, and the women there talk constantly. Mahwash Khanum only tells some people to stop talking, but there's a group—I'm not sure if they're her family or friends—who sit in the back, and she never asks them to be quiet. I wish she'd stop being selective and ask everyone to be quiet. If people want to talk, they should do it outside.

It is great to help your community in some form or the other.nnThere is ample of parking space on first cum first basis. There is sijdaga n tasbeeh for jamaat namaz. Please make donations to the Center to keep it growing!
Very good mosque. Located in a good place with a big parking lot. Nice and calm place with clean and friendly staff, and active members. Many celebrations and ceremonies are held.nHighly recommended.
