About The OFFICIAL page of Afghan Canadian Islamic Community Mission To address the cultural, social and religious needs and issues of the Afghan-Canadian families to make a positive difference in their lives by: * Establishing a community centre to offer a place * for Fateha assemblies, group prayers (Jama’at), weekly religious and educational sessions, seminars, round-table discussions, inter-faith learning sessions and etc. * Celebrating Islamic and National events * Establishing a school where children, youth and * adults can learn Quran, Islamic Studies and Farsi language * Providing children and youth with educational and recreational trips * Developing a Library and distributing cultural, religious and educational publications * Offering help, support and full funeral services to members who lost their loved ones * Offering social support for newcomers to Canada to help them learn about Canada and its culture
