Customer service could use some dramatic improvement. You'll often stand there for a good 10-15 minutes and not be addressed at all (with or without customers in front of you). Had winter tires put on and was never informed that my summer tires were worn beyond safety regulation. I discovered this because another local garage refused to put them on claiming that it would be illegal to do so. Seems to me a serious oversight, or simply a friendly service which might make the difference between being a repeat customer or not.

They helped me out this winter when I needed to replace my entire rim and tire after a snowy curb incident. The team was extremely friendly and helpful and my experience was super smooth. I will not hesitate to recommend them to my friends and family. Thanks

I was referred by a colleague at work and I am so happy that I took her up on it. They are helpful, honest and very good at their job. Honestly, I cant see how anyone could criticize these guys. They are incredible and I would recommend them to anyone. I am almost 60 and it is the best garage that I have ever gone to.

I had been an Active Green and Ross customer for 10 years since I first bought snow tires from them and I’ve kept going back for my tire needs. It was a bonus that my tire purchases came with free tire changes for as long as I owned the tires. I understand that this deal hasn’t existed for the past couple of years for new buyers. When I called to book an appointment to get my winter tires taken off and my all-seasons put on, I had asked for 5:00 on a Friday. When I showed up for my appointment at 4:45, the representative gave a little moan about someone booking for 5pm on a Friday. Made me feel very welcome. (I'm being sarcastic here). Next, they called me to the desk to inform me that my all-seasons were unsafe to put on. The mechanic had a tread depth guage with him to show me the reading. It’s worth noting that they still offered to put them on but they were quite adamant that the tires were unsafe. I took their word for it, although I should have had them show me where they were measuring the tires. They told me to call back next week and they’d give me a quote on new tires. After thinking about it that evening, I went back the next day with my receipt from when I had bought the tires. I had bought them 3 years ago but I only drove on them half time and had low mileage. Max 25,000 on them. I went in because I knew there was a warranty on them for 80K and wanted to understand what my options were. So it was the same guy at the desk I had talked to less than 20 hours previously. I was quite pleasant as I said, “Hi, remember me? I was in yesterday”. He gave me a smug look and said, “No.” After I went on about the treads he said he remembered. I showed him my receipt and he flipped it back at me and looked back at his terminal and said “they’re three years old”. I said, “Yes, but there’s a warranty on them for 80,000km”. He said bluntly, “No there isn’t”. “Yes there is, I looked it up”, I said. At that he loosened up and explained to me what the warranty meant (wear not covered). That was fine, all I wanted was an understanding of it, and the conversation continued civilly enough. But I didn’t like the guy’s initial attitude when I came in. Small beans, and not something that would stop me from going back. What I will not stand for is being lied to. I took a couple of measurements myself after looking up how to do this using a quarter or a nickel. From what I could see, these tires were still ok. I took the tires to Frisby Tire today and had someone look at them there. He assured me that while two tires had more wear than the other two, they were not “unsafe” and they easily had another season left in them. They will be changing my tires. And selling me my next sets from here on out. I don’t know the reason Active Green and Ross told me these tires were unsafe. Probably to try to sell me new ones, I imagine, or maybe the fact that they are still tied to my old deal of free tire switches has something to do with it. Pure speculation, but either way, AGR, you are hereby free of your commitment because you have seen the last of me.
