Do not fall for their "expected delivery date". They use Metro E24 Solutions which is absolutely horrible. My original order had an expected delivery date of Nov 25. The actual delivery date was Dec 2, a full week later. In the days between nobody could answer me as to where my shipment was or when I could expect it. UPDATE. Grainger did eventually provide a full refund including return shipping since I had to source the product elsewhere to meet my own deadlines.
In short - unreliable. I ordered two time-sensitive items on March 3, with an estimated pick-up date of March 15. Turns out that I won't receive my order until mid-April and I had to call customer service to get this info. Very easily could have bought these items elsewhere, and I would have, had they been upfront/remotely accurate re the arrival of my order.
useless. calls don't go to stores, just a general call centre. option 1 is "help selecting a product" but the person who answered did not even know what a sheave was. told me "well we have over 9000 products so..." its like calling a restaurant supply store only to have the phone answered by someone who has never heard of a plate before!
They've made a lot of changes recently. Excellent service and attitude. They sell to the general public in addition to businesses. Drop in for the clearance section alone - it's Awesome.
We ordered some brown paper bags from them and just about every one has a rip in it somewhere. Would definitely not order again. Terrible quality and have not responded to emails asking for a solution to the terrible quality we were sent. Do NOT recommend.
Don't ever order from these people. They sent us an empty box and forgot to put the product in it. This company has some serious issues with shipping and receiving. I would go elsewhere. We also spent an hour on the phone to try to solve the problem only to be let down again. Shop elsewhere. Epic failure. Should be zero stars.
Rudest disrespectful people I have ever known do not respect any other trades do not shop here they don't care about their environment people around them Your business your safety or anything else but they're bottom line dollar
Had an order for some hardware cloth, which wasn't in stock. Prices are far cheaper than the big box stores for the same products. They were clear from the order date when the item would be ready for pick up. The hardware cloth arrived 2 days earlier than the estimated date. I opted for curbside pick up, which was really just going to the door, telling the employee the order number and them bringing it to a table at the door. Everything went smoothly and as expected. No complaints, glad to have this resource available!
Incompetent workers. Absolutely no respect for customer's time. Tried to clarify pricing with customer service on the phone and gave wrong information. Website description is atrocious and does not give clarity. Never coming back again and will never recommend this place... Ever.
I ordered a small order of grocery bags and it was as promised on time. However, the product was incorrectly displayed on the website. Within a day, I received a call from Samatha on their RMA team who went above and beyond to try to remedy the situation. She worked quickly and decisively to determine whether she could find a suitable replacement for the product. Unfortunately, they were unable to find the product in all of Canada. I am giving them 5 stars for the great and efficient service that I got both in the Burnaby store and by the service excellent of Samantha on the phone. If this is the way these guys treat a small guest customer, that's incredible. Stellar customer service and look forward to using you as a source for other goods in the future.
