My dad loves this place. The food is really excellent so I can't blame him. I had the Curry Goat today which was filling and I had the SMALL! Great curry flavors and excellent spice. Just right on the spice for me, not overpowering. The cost of food has gone up so they've had to remove some items from the menu. If you want some good traditional Jamaican/Caribbean food this is a good place to check out. Our server was very nice and attentive to us. She took great care of us, filling our water and getting us napkins in a timely manner.
Great Caribbean Food. Love jerk pork dinner with rice and peas and coleslaw. Tried to order jerk chicken wings, unfortunately it was sold out. Excellent potato chickpea curry. i have been here several times and for sure I will be back.
The jerk pork roti blew me away. Huge portion, amazing taste, roti was beautiful. I am a very happy pregnant woman right now. I cannot get over how amazing it is. The festival dumplings are equally as good, crunchy, soft, sweet, savoury. Just wonderful. Seriously amazing food!
A Taste of the Islands is an absolute gem of a Jamaican restaurant! The food is authentic, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The staff is friendly and welcoming, making the dining experience all the more enjoyable. Whether you're a Jamaican food lover or new to the cuisine, you won't be disappointed. Standout dishes for me were the jerk chicken. I highly recommend A Taste of the Islands to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience. 5 stars!
Jerk chicken was really good but it was a little pricey for the portions
The best curry goat! Hands down! You really get what you pay for.Recommended dishesCurried Goat, Goat Curry
Went here based on the good reviews and wasn't disappointed. Ordered the Jerk Chicken Roti, service was quick and friendly. Nice sized portion of roti and fries. Chicken was quite juicy and thoroughly marinated, great smoky/spicy taste. Very authentic feel to the place, will come back again!
I had curry goat roti, quarter jerk chicken, and a beef patty with my aunt. It felt expensive at first but the size was pretty big when it came out, especially the roti. The goat meat didn't have that yucky smell even for my aunt who was a first-timer. Both of the meat were really soft. I also loved the part of the rice that was soaked in jerk chicken sauce. And the mild beef patty - well seasoned, no need for any sauce. I definitely want to visit again!
They have the best jerk chicken roti I have ever had. It’s so spicy and delicious!
I was there today around 1pm and got the Oxtail. By far the best Oxtail I've had in years. I keep saying I want to learn how to make it myself, but there's no point. I'll just keep going here when I need to get a fix.
