A Summer Place Inn

SummerPlace was a good value for what we paid for a five-night stay. All the staff I talked with were pleasant and helpful. The room did initially have a bit of strong smell, I think from cleaning products, but we got used to it right away. I am not a big breakfast eater, and the breakfast was fine for me, although I didn't care for the scrambled eggs. Although the pools are rather small, there is a heated indoor pool and an outdoor pool, which my kids enjoyed the heated indoor. So although it worked for my family, if you want a 4+ star hotel, this is not your place. I will say the location is nearly ideal for everything we did in Destin. There is cool go kart track/arcade/mini golf place next door 3 tracks actually, we rode on all 3, and there were two restaurants we easily walked to we recommend the Back Porch, and it's on the beach, and we even walked to the beach from the hotel although not carrying all the beach chairs, umbrella, etc.

Yessss! The breakfast is good but could use a little bit more of a variety! It adds interest to all budget vacationers given the place in the strip is a tourist spot and everything was so expensive! Fish platter around omg almost $50 plus tax! Staff in Summer Place are very nice, attentive, diverse, and do everything they can to please guests! So friendly they make you feel at home! Tina is very attentive and pleasant to all the guests! Several others are nice as well but forgot their names! Curtis also!

Not that clean. Sheets had a tear in them and looked like they had already been laid in. Stains on walls that could have easily been wiped down by housekeeping. We arrived at 0230 and had to get on the road early otherwise we would have left and gone to Homewood Suites right next door. There was also no hairdryer. I would steer clear if you like cleanliness!

Easy check in, super comfy beds, rooms where clean, breakfast was good enough. It's not a resort, but hot water is a big issue and to accomplish that you had to run the water almost 30min to make it tolerable, not hot Beach is a nice walk with nothing in your hand, other wise it's a drive to the beach not a walk.

The inn was so clean and neat. There were no weird odors of any kind. The staff was very friendly and helpful with everything. We had a balcony suite with a king size bed and it was really pleasant. You couldn't hear any surrounding noise other than the few airplanes that flew over. The pools were clean and nice. It's very close to 3 beaches, restaurants and stores. We had a blast and have already booked our next trip back there. The only thing I would say was disappointing and should be fixed and it may have just been our room, but the water pressure. The water barely came out. That was the only thing I would change.

This place was great and so was the price. Nice clean rooms with comfortable beds. Indoor and outdoor pool. Decent breakfast every morning. I would definitely stay here again.

I'm giving four stars because the curtains didn't block out light during the night. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay. We loved the breakfast, hot tub/pool, the balcony, comfy bed, and how the hotel was close to everything. We just might have to return when we are back in town. Rooms: Some of the rooms have a balcony. The curtains still allow light to come in at night. Nearby activities: Close walk to the beach, shops, and restaurants. Walkability: Short walk to wherever you want to go.

Center of all the family fun. Love the indoor pool, the outdoor pool is beautiful. The previous guests seem to have broken the HDMI cable, and the staff initially forgot about us, we called again and they told us with it being so late, it would be fixed tomorrow. Sucked but it is what it is. Maybe 5 minutes later, they came to fix it! Friendly and unnecessarily apologetic. Thank you!

I enjoyed my stay at SummerPlace! It was close enough to everything my partner and I were interested in. Breakfast was simple enough and the inside pool was a nice option. The room was nice and clean….On the way out, my freaking car battery died. The customer service can’t remember their names was sooo helpful and helped with a jumpstart! Thank yall so much!!

Very nice hotel!! Just recently stayed there in March 2023! Rooms are very nice and clean! Staff was nice and breakfast was awesome! Will stay again in near future! I give Rooms: 5/5
