2nd Street Inn & Suites

Just minutes from the Mayo Clinic main campus & 20 minuets from Rochester airport. Very basic hotel , the carpet in the room was dirty , the room it self is not in an excellent condition. I was there for one night , so it was easy to Handel it , the staff is really friendly & very help full . The reception is located one floor up , so you need to climb the stairs to reach the reception office.

We stayed in a room with a king sized bed. The room was more of a suite with furniture and a kitchenette than a just a room. The price was really affordable as well. Parking required a tag, which is unfortunate because we didn't know if we could have guests park and visit. The window shades were a little worn, the windows didn't open well, the AC barely reached the bedroom, and the TV was very fuzzy. It was low quality, but spacious and affordable. It's also located right next to the hospital, which was the main reason we picked it.

Ok for the price. Dad always said that you get what you pay for! Bed was not to comfy; also could use a comfy chair or couch in the room. On a positive note, St. Mary hospital is just across the street and they have hourly shuttle to take you there or downtown to Mayo/Gonda. On-site laundry facility and free continental breakfast. Ample free parking. Microwave and mini refrigerator in the room. On site snack and soda machines.

Great staff during our stay. Very helpful, respectful, and understanding. I had checked out because my husband got admitted to Mayo Clinic and ended up being released the same day. There was no way I could make the trip back home on one hour of sleep, stopped in to see if we could get a room for the night, not only did we get a room but they even put us on the second floor knowing my husband had a hard time walking stairs. The morning staff, desk clerk, and housekeeping during the week were more than amazing! They made our stay one of the best stays we've had at a hotel yet!

Very rude owner who would not honor a priceline reservation because we live in the same community!! We needed a room for some family "overflow" for a while and the day of he says NO. Absolutely ridiculous, indiscriminate policy!
