I’ve been here several times, and I absolutely love this place! The contemporary Korean fusion cuisine is done excellently and their dishes are really creative. I’m personally a huge fan of their starters and seconds, though their mains are also great. I feel like their dishes have improved since I first came here 2 years ago, and the current menu is definitely my favourite so far. Excited for my next time here!

Impeccable service and food. My partner and I came in without a reservation, but they still managed to fit us in and we are very glad for that!. Our server/ host, Adam, was attentive, upbeat, and made for a very pleasurable dining experience. While fusion food often is lacklustre, all the dishes here were well-balanced and delicious. Will be returning for sure!

Words can’t describe my dinner experience here. Let these pictures do the talking instead. Not one dish that we ordered that did not meet expectations. They were all cooked to perfection. Not only do they taste incredible, they look pretty and very photogenic too!

Cozy narrow interior, fun drink options, interesting menu. We had a great time. The mousse was a bit too salty; I understand maybe it was to boost the sweet flavours but maybe was a bit too much. The pear drink mostly tasted like pear juice.. maybe a bit more alcohol, etc? Other drink was great. Im not sure if its the lighting but rear half of the restaurant felt a bit dark and dull. The service was good overall. I would come again to try other things on the menu.

It's a rare event that we've loved every single dish we've ordered at a restaurant recently. So my husband and I were pleasantly surprised when we visited 156 Cumberland last night. We both absolutely enjoyed each dish - from the beef tartare, chicken wings, squid noodles not pictured here, mushroom jook, halibut, and lamb saddle - each was well-seasoned and had well-balanced flavour and textures that complemented each other so beautifully. The service was stellar and attentive and the pace that the dishes arrived at our table was perfect. You can really see and taste the influence that the chef's French training has on the dishes that he's composed. We can't wait to visit again!

It's good! I thought each dish here was tasty, with flavours that complement. We tried the beef tartar, crudo, sirloin, and halibut. The tartar was delicious, and I don't usually like raw beef. The crudo was very fresh and light. The sirloin and halibut mains were delicious, but the portions were a little small. We shared the chocolate mousse for dessert, which was very good.

The flavours of all the dishes were unique however some dishes were hits while others were misses. In terms of dishes that were hits, definitely the oysters, lamb, chicken wings, and the beef tartare were delicious! Otherwise the rest of the dishes were mid and the desserts were a bit too alcoholic for my test. It is an upscale restaurant so it can get pretty expensive and servings run small.

Outstanding food! Beef short rib was very soft and tender, and each side dish coming along with the beef had well-balanced taste with the beef. Service was perfect too. I could have a perfect birthday dinner with good food and good ppl!

One of my favorite restaurants in Toronto and certainly a hidden gem on the busy streets of Yorkville! We had the opportunity to try almost every dish as we came in a group of 6. Each dish was so carefully curated and presented beautifully and tasted even better. I fell in love with the beef tartar and the Sujebi Korean hand-pulled pasta scallops...out of this world! If you're looking for a place that will wow you on all levels, you will not be disappointed here. Our water glasses were never empty for more than 30 seconds and this is not by any means an exaggeration. Great service, great food, great ambiance. We are really grateful to have been taken care of by such hospitable staff! Thank you 156.

Celebrated our Mom's Birthday at 156 Cumberland Food was very good, especially the beef tartare, stuffed chicken wings, beef short rib we devoured and deboned it! and mushrooms "jook"! Service was friendly but a little sluggish at the end. Hubby didn't get his dessert so we cancelled it. Food: 5/5
