Nice, bright spot with super views. Food quality was very good although 1 main was a tiny portion compared to the rest gnocchi-it was very rich delicious which might explain the portion Servers were very nice and accomodated our need to be quick so that we could get to our concert. They were a little stressed, possibly short a person? We will be back! Parking: There is not a lot of parking in the area
Amelia was very friendly upon our arrival, and seated us quicky on their patio. It was quite windy that day so she offered us a blanket. It was refreshing to have such a great interaction straight away as a lot of restaurants are lacking that nowadays. It was nice to see fresh flowers on the tables as well. We were there during happy hour, and really enjoyed our food and drinks. It's a great location overlooking Beacon Park and the water.
Lamb Ragu was great. Burger was good. Deserts were excellent. Service was awesome. My pictures are subpar. Thank you.
While I enjoyed the flavour of the gnocchi, it was the smallest portion I've seen for quite the hefty price tag. Do not recommend going for dinner, but they do offer happy hour, and their calamari appetizer was excellent.
We went for a birthday celebration tonight, and could not have been more impressed with the experience! From the initial front desk greeting to our amazing meal gnocchi, seafood linguine and an awesome Caesar salad it was all so good. Keep up the good work folks - we’ll be back very soon!
Fabulous!! Fun and delicious!! Great craft drinks! Amazing menu! However, Katt made our experience perfect!! Sit in her section abcs you won’t be disappointed!! Thank you Katt!!! We will be back!!
Good news, bad news. We have had happy experiences with this restaurant in the past, but were slightly disappointed by one choice this time. I ordered the seafood bowl. The flavour was good but the noodle-heavy consistency could be described as glubby, if you understand what I mean. We live on Salt Spring where there are a couple or restaurants that have delicious "bowls," where the consistency is much looser so this was surprising as the food at Ten Acres is usually really good. On the other hand, we had the tiramisu for dessert, which was absolutely delicious. By the way, the servers were both lovely.
Portion sizes seem very small to me. I ordered cannelloni Florentine and received 2 tubes that in my opinion were small and with tax and tip cost me probably $35. Wife’s Lasagna tasted good but was cold. Kids got burgers and fries with no ketchup. The scenery was A1 but overall a disappointment. Suggest you read the previous reviews…. Might try this place again as I want to like it due to the area and ambience.
Went to 10 Acres restaurant today at around 5:15 with my Dad. No reservation, but got seated right away. Waited 20 minutes before anyone came over to our table. The waiter came over and explained that they were short staffed because a server had been in a car accident and couldn't make it to work. I get it. Completely understandable. I cut them some slack. We ordered our dinner, beer, wine. Finally we got some water. Then we waited. And waited. The table beside us came in after us. They ordered their meal after us. They got their drinks and their meal. We got nothing. We never got our drinks. Never got our dinner. When we saw the table beside us get their drinks and dinner, we left. I explained to the Hostess why we were leaving. She was very apologetic, but it was too little, too late.
I’ve been coming to this restaurant since June as I am a local, tonight’s visit will be my last. The service was totally lacking, I went 10 minutes without a drink refill. My fiancés Fish was hard. I spoke with a female manager who was out of line, and she said she was going give us complementary desert, and it was charged on the bill and not taken off anyway. The desert was way better than the food. I won’t be going back, although the service was much better in past experiences. We are regulars and will have to find a new spot.
