Stepped in for a quick lunch. Place is a lot bigger the appears from the outside. Staff was good but distant. Food was OK but bland. Had the New York steak which came out as a sirloin. Not bad but no seasoning. Recommend this place for a quick meal of you staying at a local hotel. Wouldn’t otherwise.
The food is ... well ... cheap. You get large plates but the quality is very poor. Pizza was grease and cheese. The "donair" didn't even have the proper sauce, it was just dry meat in a plain wrap. The ribs were dry. Honestly I am only giving 2 stars because the vegetables were nice and fresh. If you don't have much money but are very hungry I would recommend, but if you want good food, you are better off going somewhere a little more ... updated...
The food was good, high quality beef for the steak and the requested temperature was achieved. The beef lasagna was awesome. The service needs a lot of work. The waiter didn't check in with us for like 20 minutes. Drinks needed refilling, some bread or crackers would be nice for the wait, it's not fast in the least... For prices like this the service needs a serious uptick....
I vaguely remembered this restaurant when it was located in West Edmonton Mall. It has been at the "new" location since 2000. Lol. We were greeted right away and we opted to dine in the lounge. Our server was Terrie. A very nice waitress who advised she had not been a server for very long. Hmm, I can think of some servers I've met that could learn a thing or two from her about customer service. I had the prime rib special medium rare at 29.00, my partner had the Filet steak at 28.00. The prime rib was a decent size at 10 ounces and the filet was 8 ounces. I had ordered mine medium rare. While it appeared medium rare, I found it a tad dry. My partner ordered hers medium and admitted that she should have ordered medium rare. Their pizzas look great and according to one couple at an adjacent table we spoke to, "the best in Edmonton!" I will have to reserve judgement until such time I try them. Overall, a pleasant experience.
The menu stated 28.00 for the 10oz steak. Bill came 30.00. Not all menu’s had been changed The food was warm, not hot As you the owner you don’t pound your fist on the counter and say it’s 30.00. Someone made a error by not increasing all your prices in your menu by putting the little sticker This isn’t good customer service especially since the food wasn’t hot. It was warm at best. The steak lacked favour. Had to use Hp tonight. Which I never use. When we first started going there the food came hot Don’t waste your hard earned dollars We are going to go to Astro’s down the road
This place was a complete Surprise ... We had Steak and Shrimp and the Prime Rib Seriously WOW My Prime Rib was so Perfect didn't need a knife so Tender and Juicy , the au jus was really good, Veggies were Bang on .... The Steak and Shrimp was also Great and the Size of the Shrimp were like nothing else i have found in the Edmonton area Her Steak was perfectly cooked, veggies were nice and firm and The Shrimp were just cooked perfect..... Overall a Really Good Experience and we really do recommend this place For Real Food Made Fresh
I had the Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken which was delicious. The server was very attentive and friendly. A good experience all round.Food: 5/5
Don’t recommend. My family and I used to love coming here as the food was good, like homemade! Until today, we had a horrible experience. There was a group of people who were getting quite drunk and loud. We had to raise our voice to speak to each other and the waiter. We asked the waiter if he could ask the table to lower their voice and he chuckled and put his hands up, and said he’d talk to the manager. ALL they did was turn up the music but it DIDNT help the noise at all. My family and I couldn’t enjoy our meal at all. PLUS; The food sucked. The HP sauce, Is so watered down, my fries tasted old or like they’ve been sitting there for a while. AND the half loaf, it seemed the bread was very moist or doughy. Additionally, our waiter barely came around. At the end, we talked to the manager; he was absolutely rude. I will not be returning.
I’m not a review/complain person. But I have to in the case. We arrive at 7:10 thinking we had plenty of time. I don’t feel the appetizers and mains took long to come? The steak was lovely, cooked as I wanted and I liked the flavour. Nice cut of meat that had promise of a great restaurant experience. And that is the only positive I’ve got. It wasn’t plated well appearance wise, the baked potato and veggies must have been old and microwaved but still were not hot, my steak knife broke cutting my potato skin and I had to request another one. They didn’t know how to cook the Saganaki, it wasn’t hot and it looked like it had barely hit the pan. I brought it home to heat it properly as leftovers.. The waitress while friendly brought us a glass of wine when we ordered a bottle. Easy misunderstanding I guess solved by asking “would you like a glass or a bottle” when people order. We were reminded 20 min before they closed they were closing soon, and we did request containers for our leftover meat when we were full as we enjoyed that part, and when she brought the containers she said she’d bring the bill even though we had 1/2 a bottle of wine left. Definitely rushing us. And they came and asked us to come up and pay so they could close the till right at 8:30 to hurry us along and they don’t bring the bill to your table. We were not gong to be much longer, maybe 5 min just finishing our glasses so the rush was quite offensive to have to go pay at the counter when we were almost done but not quite done. After paying I went back to finish my wine and the waitress came and thanked us for the tip and commented how generous it was which makes me sad for her as I’m assuming tips are not plentiful based on the food and service quality. We just are committed to tipping at sit down restaurants even when we are not satisfied with our experiences. They have the potential to be great as their cook can obviously handle the beef well and their supply must be good, Gordon Ramsay just may need to step in first for everything else? I don’t think we’ll be back.
Pizza is great! Has become a new family favorite place on the West end. Toppings are all good, lots of cheese, really good sauce and great crust! Owner was happy to even help us take the pizzas to the car as it was a large order and everyone was happy with the food. Will be ordering from here again.
