Zab definitely makes the most flavourful Thai food in the city. It's a great place for a group of friends as their portions are quite large. We went in a group of 4 and ordered a bunch of appetizers and shared the dishes from the main course and still had to leave with leftovers, which were perfect for a weekend lunch. The atmosphere was very welcoming and everyone seemed to be having a good time. The positive vibe of the place made our experience even better. We can't wait to go back to try the rest of the items from the menu.

Great experience dining in here! We were welcomed by super friendly staff who was happy to answer all our questions. Tried the Kao Soi, shrimp pad thai, hot basil stir fry, salmon salad and mango sticky rice - everything tasted really good but the pad thai could have had more flavour and sauce. My fav was the Thai milk tea, took me right back to Phuket! Interior is small but cute, will come back to try more next time :

This place is such a hidden gem, and definitely one of the most authentic Thai restaurants in YYC! The food quality, prices and service are awesome here! Highly recommend the khao soi, penang or massaman curry! Can't go wrong with anything on the menu though!

Amazing Thai restaurant in NW Calgary. Every dish we ordered was delicious and the staff were very friendly as well. We will definitely be coming back in the future to try more dishes!

What a gem of a place! Very friendly and attentive staff that are happy to help with the menu and selection. They have a very extensive menu. We got the deep fried fish and the combo for two which comes with spring roll and satay chicken for appetizer, green curry and cashew stir fry with coconut rice for main course and ice cream for desert. Everything was perfect! The green curry was the best I have had and the fish was so crispy outside and tender inside and it was done exactly how we wanted. Each dish comes out with a special sauce that goes really well with the food as well. My go to place for Thai! Update: we went for a second visit with a larger group of 5. I made a reservation as well. Food was great and everyone enjoyed the taste however the service was just terrible! They put two tables together, one of which was so wobbly that made sitting comfortably impossible. There was no sense in bringing out the orders either, they kept coming in such a random fashion. Appetizers were brought after two of the main dished were already served. There was a huge gap between serving main dishes as well that we just decided to share everything. One of our party had ordered fish which came out when everyone else was done with their food and no one had the appetite anymore. Extremely disappointing!

Zab Der!! แซ่บจนอยากตะโกน I am from E-san, North-Eastern of Thailand so this food style are definitely authentic from where I came from. I and my husband eat 10 dishes included desserts, we finished 8 of them lol their foods are phenomenally delicious! I have no regrets eaten that much food!

The place is kind of small, but cozy ~25 people. So it's better if you make a reservation. You can even order your food ahead of time so they'll have it ready when you get there look at their website. The service was fast and efficient, and the food arrived in less than 20 minutes after we ordered. There was a large group having dinner when we arrived, so the food arrived reasonably fast. The flavor was good and tasty masaman with chicken, steam rice, dumplings, thai milk tea, so it is definitely worth trying. The size of the portions was also good, and the price matched the quality of the service and food. The food is mostly Thai despite the sign outside the restaurant says sushi. We didn't see sushi options in the menu.

Great place for authentic Thai food, servers are friendly and attentive, and the prices reasonable. Have been many times now. Try the deep fried coconut ice cream.

Zab der is one of the best restaurant that differs than other Thai restaurant, Unique style and with a combinations of Thai and Sushi, They’re specialize in E Sarn style NE Thailand. The foods is really flavorful, They really know what they doing, Also an entertainment from their chef with guitar and live music .Very nice atmosphere with a beautiful pictures on the walls. Thai Chef have been involved in this business for 20+ years, She’s pay attention to all details with all ingredients and make sure that the customers satisfied with the authentic Thai foods. Japanese chef Ninja chef have been around the world for more than 20 years, He’s talented, Energetic, motivation and willing to entertain the customers . Give it a shot and you will not disappointed !!

Zab Der is a great hidden gem Thai spot in the NW! A good amount of spice and delicious flavors!
