This is always a nice place to get away and relax. The wine is good and the view is spectacular. But what my family and I particularly appreciate is how laid back and friendly the staff and owners are. We've come here several times with kids and picniced while purchasing a couple glasses of wine. It's always felt totally natural. Other wineries around here we wouldn't even consider for that. We also really appreciate the music in the summer. And the swing! The swing and the cows are awesome. We really appreciate Youngberg and feel it is a gem in our community.

Came for brief tasting of a few wines. We liked the Jordan that was a few years old best! It's a cute, small vineyard that is worth stopping in to see. Great staff, great atmosphere.

I was here for a wedding and it was gorgeous. The staff was incredibly friendly. The wine was delicious and the venue was perfect for a wedding that involved a lot of dancing. We stayed the night at the inn and the room large and spacious with a beautiful batbroom. There was no TV, but that's okay because the view was incredible. The only negative for me was that these rooms are NOT cheap, so I was expecting that there would be a complimentary wine tasting or a free bottle of wine in our room, but there wasn't. The only thing there was was $10 off one of their most expensive ($50) bottles of wine, which was a red and the discount couldn't be used on anything else. I feel like if I'm paying $300 to stay the night at a winery, then my room should come with at least a free tasting in the tasting room. With that aside, though, it was a great experience all around.

We got married at Youngberg Hill last March and our wedding was beautiful but the owners Nicolette and Wayne were rude and unprofessional. We booked the and paid for the inn for the entire weekend but Nicolette paraded wine tasters through the wedding venue and gave tours up until an hour before our wedding began. Having a bunch of people half-drunk ogling at our wedding decorations and walking through the venue with their dirty shoes is not what we paid for. Nicolette and Wayne were not responsive to feedback about this - meanwhile they would harp on our paying inn guests about when they could be on the deck, when they could be in the wedding setup area, etc. The other issues included constant nickeling and diming us throughout the wedding process with the help of their mandatory 'wedding planner' Jean Mateson at Willaby's who as far as I could tell took our money and let us do all of the wedding planning. They money grubbing got to the point that Nicolette and Wayne did not refund our wedding deposit because of lawn damage that they noticed two days after our wedding was over. There had been terrible rains and another wedding between our wedding and when they told us about the damage but they just decided it was our fault and kept another $1,000 from us. We are having to take them to small claims court over this. It is too bad because it is a gorgeous venue. Buyer beware - if you get married here, keep your hand on your wallet and get ready for some rude behavior from the owners.
