Though Already few have Reviewed, thought to give thoughts, in Aug 2025nPros: The Management has changed Seats better than before, improved DOLBY Sound system, Upgraded interior since 2023, Vast FREE Parking area, Canteens/ Cafeteria is quite good & Decent employees, Theatre floor, Trash can and surroundings are kept Clean. Has 5 Auditorium to screen different or same movies simultaneously or at good intervals for Non English movies.nCons: Rest rooms need upgrade, Not sure of Lift & Easy accessibility for Handicapped patrons, Theater floor Slop angle is NOT great as the view can be blocked by a tall patron to a small or shorter patron in height to view The movie without disruptions.

Great place for South Indian movies.nParking is generally good, but on days when multiple movies are running successfully, it gets tricky.nAfter the renovation, the sound quality has improved significantly. However, the seating is a major downside. The seats don’t recline well, legroom is limited, and the seating slope is low, making visibility less comfortable.nHopefully, they upgrade the seating in the Atmos theatres in the future with more legroom and better seats.

York Cinemas is a mixed experience at best. Only two theaters are upgraded with Dolby Atmos, and those feel good—but the rest of the screens are just average and don’t justify the premium pricing. The newly renovated theaters feel more like icing on the cake rather than a complete upgrade of the cinema experience.nnTicket prices are on the higher side, and snacks are overpriced as well. Unfortunately, even the washrooms are poorly maintained, which further takes away from the overall experience.nnWhat’s more disappointing is the management’s approach toward movie distribution. York Cinemas appears to hold a monopoly and does not allow regional South Indian movies to be played in other multiplexes. This lack of healthy competition hurts movie lovers, especially the South Indian audience, and limits choice unnecessarily.nnOverall, unless you’re specifically booking one of the Dolby Atmos screens, this is not a great cinema to visit. The management’s fear of competition seems to be killing the true movie-going experience.

These guys accepted bookings for Jana Nayagan movie without it getting certified for release. Now they say it got postponed only on their social media page 2 days before release date with no info on refunds. I didn't get no email or text about this booking cancellation. I'm just lucky to be following their social media page. Imagine those who show up expecting to see the movie and they say didn't you check out our Instagram page of the cancellation If you Google York cinema owner you'll see reddit post about how this place is run by criminals. Now I need to go through credit card chargeback

I purchased tickets for Jana Nayagan and later contacted York Cinemas by both email and phone regarding a refund. I was clearly told that I would receive a refund 5-7 business days, but it has been a 2 weeks and I still have not received anything.nnDespite following up multiple times, there has been no resolution and no communication explaining the delay. This is extremely frustrating and unprofessional, especially after being assured that a refund would be issued.nnI expect better transparency and accountability when handling customer payments. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not recommend York Cinemas.
