Quaint, cozy, and steeped in history, Yarusso Bros is a local gem. With old roots deep in the community, it feels a bit like stepping into a different era when you walk through the doors. Historical photos and original paintings, warm lighting, and wooden decor give it an older, comforting feel: it was genuine & warm rather than modern & slick, if that makes sense. Everything was clean; the staff was attentive and friendly; the food was very tasty and plentiful the cheese pizza was massive & satisfying!. There are delicious vegetarian options, but I'm not sure if vegans will have luck here. The only prohibitive thing about Yarusso's is the abbreviated hours -- which I can't really fault them for, but I wanted to mention it. You can get a great meal here with a date or your family. Vegetarian options: Cheese pizza was huge and very cheesy & satisfying. The cheesy garlic bread was also fantastic and we just loved the dipping sauce! We also had spaghetti with marinara their standard spaghetti sauce isn't vegetarian, which was decent. There were *a few* vegetarian options, but the bulk of the menu is for omnivores. We were happy with our vegetarian options, but we'd always love to see more. Parking: No issues with parking, but the area, in general, gets a little congested at times due to the bustling and excellent liquor store across the street, Morelli's.
All things considered the rating should be around 3.7. The food is delicious and more importantly it's authentic Italian food that is not modified excessively to cater to an American taste which is a positive. This has been a restaurant starting 1933 so it has a history and culture behind it. The staff are very friendly and you can get good suggestions from them. It was clean, the food was served in roughly 15 minutes after we ordered not a long wait. Overall I liked the experience and the food. Some of our friends felt the food was not unique in terms of taste and a little on the pricey side which is why I say 3.7 not 4.
Good honest Italian food at reasonable prices. Yarusso's is serving up pasta and subs and it tastes delicious. It's not a place to find the latest Italian cuisine trend food but between the spaghetti & meatballs or ravioli...it hit the spot on a cold winter afternoon.
Spaghetti and meatballs was ok. The sauce was really sweet with maybes hint of cinnamon or something. Not a lot of tomato taste. The garlic cheese bread and sauce was probably my favorite if the day. Staff was friendly!
Delicious as always and a must stop for us when we are on that side of town. I also get the sauce to go in quarts to freeze . Fred remembers everyone and I love hearing his stories about my dad and brothers from back in the day.Food: 5/5
Such a great place! My wife had spaghetti and I had the dago. Off the charts amazing! The atmosphere is great. After our meal, the owner showed us pictures of his family and told us about the history of the neighborhood. I love this place and we will be back often.
We picked this restaurant randomly, not knowing if it was good or not. To our surprise, it was almost everything we hoped we'd find in a new place. The atmosphere was great. A family owned restaurant that has been passed down from generation to generation. The owner takes the time to come talk to you, making sure you have a great time. The food was great. We had spaghetti and meatballs, chicken parmesan, and ravioli. We wanted to try the pizza, and to our surprise, the owner came around and gave samples. They only thing was the wait. It took a while, and for a family with a two year old, it was a little challenging. I would 100% go back and enjoy the food and the great environment that is present.
Have dined many times at Yarusso Brothers and always have an amazing experience. My go to is the pasta supreme which is excellent. They also offer gluten-free pasta which is also great. The atmosphere is enjoyable and comfortable with pictures and decor which propels you back in time. You will love everything about Yarusso Brothers
It was a nice place I love the vibe of it. The most entertaining thing that happened was a guy was handing out pizza square slices and it was super delicious. We ordered Mozzarella sticks which came out cold that was unfortunate, but the place did not disappoint the spaghetti so good and that sauce is amazing so delicious I will definitely be coming to this place again
I love this place, love the people, love the food. Never a bad experience in 35 years, only when they close and I need a dago lol. I really appreciate what you guys did for me on Christmas. Last minute order. Thank you so much. Much Love and Respect! Buck
