Authentic French patisserie in a little yellowhouse!

We are known for our macarons but we also make croissants, cakes and more. Come for a visit and discover what our artists have for your palate!

We believe in quality ingredients, presentation, and delivery with personalized customer service. We are environmentally conscious and dedicated to comfortable relationships with our employees, suppliers, and customers, based on mutual respect.

HISTORY

After 3 years to settle all the permits for this project, Yann & Jeraldine Blanchard opened for the first time on December 24th 2009! Thanks to the wonderful neighbours, community members and Calgarians, Yann Haute Patisserie only grew every year to now provide employment to a wonderful Team.

Our Team is made of individuals with great energies and from amazing diverse backgrounds. All have great spirit & passion for the quality products they create and offer!

ABOUT OUR CHEF YANN BLANCHARD

Professional Pastry Chef Yann grew up in his parent’s bakery/pastry shop until he left to study his passion in Paris.
After 15 years of international experience working in shops, clubs, and hotels, Yann Blanchard now has his very own patisserie and is still as passionate as ever!

I had 6 of their pastries delivered to my place and all of them were good. They were packed and placed inside the boxes very nicely see pictures. My favorite was the Red berry glee over royal cake as the cookie base at the bottom of the royal cake had some funky taste to it but otherwise the mouse itself was pretty good. For some reason the hazelnut filling inside the Paris-Calgary was quite strong, rest of the cake was good. Would be nice to see more selections and if they can make new pastries more often to bring those new French flavors.
We're so fortunate to have this Patisserie in Calgary!! The treats are stunningly beautiful and just as delicious as they look! Yann Haute Patisserie has the most amazing treats for any occasion. Yann is an amazing artist creating the finest French pastries and cake known to mankind!
THE BEST BAKERY IN CALGARY The dessert pastries were the best I’ve ate. Not too sweet, but filled with flavour. Service was amazing and great vibe all around. Definitely returning whenever I can, worth every penny.
Absolutely love this bakery, they’re super cute and there is such a nice variety of pastries here. It was so pretty and delicious, I haven’t found any other place that makes it so well in Calgary, would definitely be coming back again.
This was my first time visiting the bakery in person although I have been gifted many treats from here before by friends! Everytime I have something they have been very tasty. Their croissants are delicious and comparable to the ones I've had in Paris. The staff is very friendly and on my last visit I was gifted a apple macaron since it was broken this seriously made my day I must say my favourite of the day was the black forest macaron it's so small but there is so much flavor! I am disappointed it's seasonal, I'll be sad when it's gone. My other favourite was the almond and chocolate croissant. I've had it many times and never get tired of it. Over all I love the store and 100% recommend. There is free parking in the back. Definitely go early because it gets busy and they run out fast! :
Delicious! Very small place, but nice staff who were knowledgeable. Easy to get to and free parking while you are there. They also have frozen products that you can bake at home, i.e. croissants and baguettes. Croissants are flaky and buttery just how I like them. I also bought a pain au chocolat but am too stuffed with bread to eat it now, but it looks great. Pastries and cakes only, no coffee or sandwiches.
I ordered a berry cake, a box of macrons and almond croissants for my birthday. Was really excited because i heard such good things about this place and wanted to try something new this year. But was quite dissatisfied with the taste. The cake was good, tart berry compote and a sweet almond base, but the MACRONS??? I don’t know what went wrong with those either it was a bad batch or someone had forgotten to throw away yesterdays batch cause it tasted stale and old . My sister had picked them up around 2 pm on the day, so they were in the fridge for like 4 hours as recommended by the website, before I ate them. Macrons are supposed to be hard but why were some of them soft ??I’ve had macrons from Sobeys and winners to other gourmet French bakeries like sucre and olive, and these were by far THE WORST I’ve ever had. My whole family took one bite and grimaced at the taste. I’m glad I at least tried it, but I’ll just be sticking to the shops I know that are good from now on, and might try an almond croissant on occasion. Maybe this place is just overhyped.
We order yann haute macarons for special occasions including our wedding dessert bar! We are also super fond of their almond croissants and royal cake for our chocolate loving friends and family.
My must go to patisserie every time I visit Calgary! A cute little store with non-alcoholic and gelatine free options. Their macaroons are the BEST I've had in Calgary! Unfortunately I eat them all too quickly to take pictures! Recommend coming in at least 2 to 3 hours prior to closing for a better selection.
I absolutely love this bakery! I've never had a bad experience, each dessert is made so exquisitely and the customer service is phenomenal!! The almond chocolate croissants are the best I've ever had. I went today to pick up so more desserts and was informed that the almond croissants are made with a rum glaze. I'm grateful to the employee for making me aware of that since I cannot have alcohol or gelatin for religious reasons. I want to continue coming here but please please Yann Haute owner, can you offer alcohol free options of your desserts and pastries? And please consider adding signs with desserts that contain alcohol as I would have never thought a croissant would contain rum.
