Pros: because its literally a stones throw from the highway, its easy to access. Full hook-ups. Wifi. No cable. Cons: They shoe horn people in here so tightly they almost don't give enough room to open your door. Super cramped, noisy, and rude staff. All in all, I've seen truck stops and Wal Mart parking lots less crowded and less noisy. Do yourself a favor and keep driving.
This place is very clean, quiet, and peaceful. It’s great for kids. There’s an old but very nice little park area and beautiful scenery in the back. The owners are nice and help whenever they can.
The sheriff was very friendly and helpful. close to most things. clean grounds and very nice bathrooms. spent over a week here visiting family
DO NOT, DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!! Pictures shown from years ago, pool filled in, kids area rusty, kids will need tetanus shots, weeds growing up everywhere, sites narrow and short, manager if that's what she is has short fuse, can't stand any negative comments, $67 a night, should be $10 to $25, yet she drives a new big pickup and Catalac Escolade, no money going back into park maintenance/development. Please don't stay here!!!
Unfortunately, I felt like the owners were not nice and took advantage of me. I was driving home in an EV on Christmas Eve 2020 and needed to stop for a quick charge for a trip home. They charged me $25 for 1 hour of electricity ~ 6 kw, which might equate to about $0.60. The lady said that because this was the only place around for EV charging, I had no other options avaliable; and sadly, she was right. It was take it or leave it. She made it even worse by saying that if I stayed any longer than an hour, she had a camera and would make sure I left on time, or else. There were a million ways to approach my situation, and I believe she took one of the most deamining ways. The only pro was that this experience taught me more how important it is to be kind and not take advantage of people in their need; that experience still lingers till today and motivated me to write this post a year later.
The most clean laid back RV Park you will find. The drinking water is so pure you WILL take a tank with you. Large spaces so you can park your truck next to your RV.
If you have kids skip this place. Absolutely nothing for them to do. If you have dogs skip this place they charge a fee per dog and the dog area sucks. If you like modern updates skip this place. For what they offer and the price they charge...skip this place. Campers are super close together and not private at all. They are so close together you are not allowes to have campfire. Just drive a little farther you'll find something better
Only camp here as a last resort. We were so close to our neighbors that there was only 3' inbetween our slides!!! It was nice out so we had our windows open and could hear our neighbors talking in their camper! All loose rock and extremely outdated. Obviously nobody puts anything back into the operation but is draining it dry. Very disappointed.
Very friendly owners and staff, clean and secure restrooms & showers, swimming pool, clubhouse, fun playground for kids that my 4 kids thoroughly enjoyed. We used the park as a "home base" tenting for about a week while we vacationed during the 2017 solar eclipse. Although busy, it was quiet, safe, and easy to get to. Great price too! I don't like paying extra for kids and we usually avoid parks that charge this, however, this park was worth it.
My family and I have been traveling across the United States. Along the way we have stayed at different campgrounds every night. By far has this one been the biggest disappointment and the most expensive. They charge per person including my twin babies and my service dog. The rv’s are so close together it’s like being on a camping sale lot. Barely enough room to get between them. There is absolutely no fires. There is a pool but not in service for paying customers because the public was using and damaging it and they were not going to put anymore money into it. Also I had to shower in the dark once I found it because no light switch to be found and I can’t even start to tell you how outdated the shower rooms were. All in all after what I have paid for all across the us this is probably a $20. night campground. Not sure that I would choose to stay if given any other option. There is a playground that I have not seen anywhere in years except a antique mall. Not really where you want kids to play. I don’t think ppl still use these metal slides and seesaws.
