Wyndham Garden Kenosha Harborside

Amazing location right off the harbor of Lake Michigan. The hotel is older but has a wonderfully nostalgic vibe.nnThe complimentary breakfast was very good! The town surrounding the hotel is very charming with so many shops, island parks, a beach, pedestrian friendly pathways along the harbor, lighthouses, ice cream shops and great places to dine all within walking distance of the hotel.

Our room had a dirty shower with wrappers and used shampoo bottles in the shower. Upon noticing after a 2 hr nap I went down to front desk. I was told there was no maid service and that they had other rooms available, upon a phone call to manger I was told bc it was just the bathroom I would not be moved and to talk to manager on duty in am. I did he was a foreigner who wouldn’t even look at me while I was speaking to him. Did not answer me that he was the manager the other clerk had to say he was the manager. He offered me another room for the next night which we are only here one night. Would not take 1.00 off of our stay! Gross we slept in a dirty room on our own blankets bc we were not offered any extra bedding. Oh and the view good luck we got a view of the lobby and parking lot. The chair in our room need to go to the curb. It has possible blood stains on it. Find another place. This is why we bought a camper… GROSS!!! 2 star hotel more liken0 stars!

The room smelled musty.nnThe pool didn't open until 9am, which is strange. And the pool was not clean in any way. There was trash all over the pool deck. Also dirt around drains around the deck. Strange that this dried dirt existed as it's an indoor pool. The water did not smell very clean/chlorinated. The walls of the pool had a film on it. So much so that some kids had etched words into it. The bars by the steps to get into the pool were extremely wobbly. Gave little comfort to hold them as you entered or exited. The late opening time would've provided more comfort if the pool had smelled clean and the deck had been cleaned.nnThe men's room door inside the pool area wouldn't open all the way. Had to squeeze my way into the bathroom with a 3 year old.nnWill unlikely recommend or return.

First off, the front desk staff was fantastic. It was pouring rain when we checked in and they offered us umbrellas so we could walk across the street for a burger. As if that wasn’t enough they offered to move their car in the downpour so we would have a place to park. Kudos to them. The rooms were very clean, and the harbor view is so nice!!!! A table and a couple chairs would have been nice so you could enjoy the view without standing the whole time. Rooms were just a bit noisy but nothing to complain about. We could hear the people above us moving around and people entering the building from the back parking lot. We will definitely stay here again in the future. Also, plenty of restaurants/shops within walking distance.

The two nights I spent at this hotel this weekend were the worst two nights I’ve spent at any hotel in my life.nnOur room wasn’t just dirty, it was filthy and dangerous since our smoke detector was covered by a plastic bag when we arrived. In our rooms we encountered the following issues: floors were not swept, there was mold in our bathtub, we had to remove the whole moldy sink plug to get the bathroom sink to drain, the bathroom handle so loose in the door you could move the entire handle around, there was a rusty hammer under our bed, there was human and dog hair in our bed on arrival, no tissues in our room, the bars of soap were wet when I opened them, our curtains wouldn’t close all the way because of a broken and bent component, every wall, curtain or linen had stains or removable filth like food fingerprints on the curtains or grime on the bathroom doors and wall and a missing lampshade Another person in our party stay in a 2-bed room and one entire headboard was missing.nnThe staff was rude and unhelpful, treating every request with suspicion and distrust. We moved moved from our 2 two bed room to a one bed room night two and another family members came with there partner and kids so we asked them to clean the room. We we told they wouldn’t do that. We asked for clean sheets so we could change them ourselves. They said they didn’t have any clean sheets to give us and they only had one house-keeper so they couldn’t wash any for us. We offered to wash them ourselves and they said we couldn’t use their soap. A different member of our party tried to get towels for the pool there is a sign in the elevator that says to get towel for the pool from the front desk and they said no because our group got 11 the day before We were a group of 14 that day.nnEvery piece of cardio equipment in the workout room was completely not working or broken in a way as to render it unusable for most people.nnI contacted management but they were unwilling to do anything for me.
