My WCB worker left me hanging without coordinating my aftercare, was just interested in getting me off her files. Had to keep reminding her about getting an OK to attend physiotherapy & kept neglecting the fact I needed to see an Occupational Therapist after I'd fallen into a 10' deep trench, requiring 6 stitches, 15 staples & 7 months off work.nnWas mandated to talk to a psychologist which she left to the last week of my claim, this should have been ongoing appts from the beginning of my injury.nnI ended up having to remind her during my 'return to work' interview, infront of three ppl from my company that I needed that level of care to coordinate my going back to my job & workplace. I figured she'd remember if I put her on the spot, not bad for someone with a concussion.nnThe aftermath was being left with social anxiety, sound sensitivity, depression & a few other issues, only glanced over at best.... To this day, 5 years later if I heard that same ring tone I was using at the time I consider that I'm going to be engaged in another tense conversation - I beleive that's a shade of Post Traumatic Stress that is residual from the time of my injury.nnShe even had me phone MY doctor's office to get them to forward my medical records from my physician appointments, treatment & medications. No, that's YOUR job, not the injured worker. If you can't get them to promptly forward the info to WCB then there's something wrong with the system & while recovering from a concussion I shouldn't be made to put the pressure on my doctor's office on your behalf.nnWas left feeling really disoriented upon my return to work & needless to say I got a letter a week later saying my case file was closed - terrific, thanks for all your hard work and support - NOT.nnI'm still left with very vivid memories of this injury and having to fight to get support from the one organization that is supposed to be there to help injured workers and get them on the right road, missed the mark.
After telling Paulette I didn’t want to talk about my dying mother, she continued to ask questions about her……..so I had to tell her stop AGAIN.nnShe likes to hear herself speak.n“after years of being a nurse, I KNOW THINGS!” Except my physio says I should still be covered, and I’m still going but paying out of pocket because Paulette says I’m fixed.nMade a complaint and was FORCED to deal with her anyway.nWhy are people being punished to forced to deal with awful people? And why is Paulette still talking to the public????nPaulette is: Condescending , zero empathy, bully, know it all and she’s just a mean person.
Lisa Rosser, my case manager- practiced absolute negligence with my case. She did things like barely answer the phone, returns messages days to weeks later and sets up false call meeting times and doesn’t show/follow-up on them.nnFor months, the only thing she did was send me 2 voicemails and then quickly suspends my case before going on a week vacation so that she has nothing to worry about on her leave.nnActually, I’ve noticed the few interactions/times I’ve spoken to her, she was always seemingly trying to rush me off the phone.nnAfter literally doing next to nothing for months, she then decides to reject my claim, saying she doesn’t believe I got injured at work. I have proof of my injury report from my employment, a doctor’s visit and proof of several treatment I’ve gotten for it. However, she doesn’t care. As long as she does the least work possible- she’s fine.nnIt’s been nearly half a year from that work incident, and I am still injured. All I want is physiotherapy for treatment- nothing else. She has wasted so much of my time. And after all this, she still shows absolutely no remorse and claims she works very hard FYI, making 2 phone calls is not very “hard working”.nnHow is she not embarrassment to WorkSafeBC? Having people like this working for you diminishes your image both as a public government service entity, and to be honest, for Canada. This is why Unionized Government jobs like this one here are a complete sham.nnThis is outright shameful and you SHOULD BE ashamed to have someone like Lisa “work” like this.
Experienced and professional medical doctors with extreme care. Any workplace injury in BC will be taken care of by the WorkSafeBC. All staff are extremely welcoming and present. Very good and free parking available on the site.
The ladies at the reception are so polite, warm and welcoming. The doctor's one hour delay felt negligible. Bless you. Thank you kindly
