I came to this location to renew my passport today. I was expecting a line up, but there were none. Only 1 person in front of me. I arrived at 11am today and was out by 11:30am. 30 minutes is impressive. The reception and renewal admin were both friendly and efficient. Thank you
I came here to renew my passport on a Thursday morning. There were three people in front of me when I lined up around 8:00, 30 minutes before the office opened.nAt 8:30, a security guard directed us to the correct place to line up inside. When I got to the front, I was asked what I was there for and if I had a deadline for when I needed my passport by I didn't have one, so I don't know if requiring an expedited passport would have affected my experience, then confirmed that I had my completed paperwork and supporting documents ready. I was then immediately directed to a desk for assistance.nWhen I sat down, the officer checked over my paperwork to make sure it was complete and reviewed my documents before entering it all into the system.nI interacted with three staff members while I was there and they were all friendly and professional.nEven with a computer issue that resulted in having to change stations partway in, I was done and out the door at 9:00.
Worst experience ever. I did not expect that kind of behaviour from such government office. My husband and I went there to update our SIN after getting PR. Front desk woman was kind and helpful. However, a man in his 60’s called us on desk and he was very rude from the moment we sat on the desk. Out of no where he told me that could you cover your Kara a religious bangle in Sikh religion with my shirt. It is a very idiotic thing to say to someone. He hurt my sentiments, what if I wasn't wearing the full sleeve then I guess he should have told me to remove my Kara from my wrist for no reason. Why does that bothers you. Such an idiot and racist person. After that he gave a sheet to fill info and my husband asked me something and he got angry on us saying you can ask any questions from me and your wife doesn't know information about your family better than you. I mean who the hell are you to say this about our relationship. We are together from 7 years and who are you to assume that I don’t know about my husband’s family. Very shameless talk that he does during those 15 minutes. He should retire if he does not like his job. He has no right to sit on that chair and pass racist comments to the clients. I did not say anything to him because I had to lower my standards to respond to his low class comments. If you are jealous of any cast, religion or country, just say it straight forward rather than doing it indirectly by hurting their religious sentiments. Seems like they are on their job to ruin others day.
The staff that helped me to renew my passport was very quick and efficient! She is very experienced and knowledgeable about her job, so I had a very good experience coming here! It only took about 10-15mins to process 2 of my applications, arrived at 8:30 and waited 1hr in line.
I know it gets hectic at service canada, so I accepted to wait the 2-3 hrs that they advised my aunt and I. Due to my family doesn't believe in sending our CC info through physical mail, so that's why we went in person for passport renewal. The receptionist said 36 ppl ahead of us then time goes by the guy that signed in ahead of us went in and I also went up to confirm if we were next after him, and they said yes. Then we noticed these ppl going in ahead of us and leaving when their also got the same passport service done. 5 ppl have gone in so we went back up and asked what's going on, the representative said there's some agents that are not trained for passports but the agents that were taking ppl in are for passport services. Then things got very flustering, and more ppl went ahead of us, then it's close to the 4 hr mark. Then finally they noticed something wrong and got us in right away. I'm not sure how they can go on that long and not knowing that we are next after almost 10 ppl that came after us and got helped before us. It's very frustrating, and I can't imagine those who are limited to English as well. Horrible service they should hire more ppl if they have this type of wait time. I feel sorry for the elderly crowds as well. Not many seats are provided in the waiting area.
