I went on a Friday noon to apply for Social Insurance Number. There was 10 minutes wait for the walk in line and about 45 minutes wait after check in. They have a waiting area with plenty of seating. Overall my experience was very good. The lady in the front who checks you in was kind and helpful. The person who helped me get my social insurance number was also very polite. Overall the process was smooth.

Walked in on a Friday morning before the Canada Day long weekend to apply my first Canadian passport. Arrived at 10:30 am, there were two people in each of the lines: one for appointment, another one for walk-in. They would help people with appointments first, but it only took ten minutes for my turn. The lady who helped me was very friendly and even congratulated me. Then she asked me to wait to be called. Another ten minutes or so, another lady called my name and helped me with the application. It took her about 15 minutes or so. I asked her if she would recommend mailing in or coming in person. She said she would not know as it would really depend, but she guessed there would be more work for mailing in. Also, she shared that normally Friday was very busy, today was an exception because of the long weekend. Apparently, Wednesdays and Thursday are the quieter days, I hope this information will help others who want to walk in.

Super clean, well organized place with short waiting queues. The staff is polite. I had the pleasure to be assisted by Karl there, twice, and I could not mention enough good things about him. He is super friendly, very approachable, very open, amicable, personable, understanding, efficient, professional, goes above and beyond to solve the issue, patient, throughout, meticulous, quick, tolerant, and makes you feel at home and relevant taking away the barrier between administrative officer and the client, which makes the issues so much easier to solve and deal with. I went there with my senior father, who due to age and health issues may be hard to deal with, but not for Karl. Karl made my father feel happy, respected and comfortable. Cherry on top: Karl is fluent in French which personally made me so happy because I find that the French language is disappearing or rare in today's institutions. 10 stars from me

I did have to renew my biometric information lately. Actually reason was unknown as I know it should be solid for eight more years but anyway- my friends kept telling me it will take long time ,get ready for waiting forevernNothing like thatnAvailable appointment in couple daysn10 min in canada service office and all done

I don't quite understand the negative reviews for this location. I've only heard amazing things from friends who have gone and I personally just had a great experience.nnFor those looking to walk-in for passport renewals no appointment, just show up ~20 minutes before they open on a weekday. You'll get seen basically immediately and you'll be out within 15 minutes.nnSuper nice staff and very quick service.
