First time going to an actual junkyard. The place was super organized for a moderately sized area. They had different recycling containers and donation bins, and landmarks pointing where to go. The workers navigated traffic and they were helpful and kind. I asked one worker where these items would belong to and he helped pinpoint me where to go. It didn't even smell as bad as I thought. I'd come again.
Came here over a year ago and still think about how bad the experience was. The staff was rude and impatient and I felt like nobody wanted to help me let alone be there. Never plan on returning. Hopefully things get better over here.
I love the dump. This is the best customer service experience in the City. The people that work here are wonderful. Love coming to the waste transfer station and checking things off my life administration list. If I’m being honest, I like the way the place smells too.
Great place to leave your garbage ! Staff here are actually super nice, and do not take advantage of you- if you have recyclables, they will absolutely direct you to the zero waste station!
Convenient location to dump garbage and mattresses. Recycle cardboard, metal appliances, and styrofoam before paying to dump to minimize costs. For old TV's and electronics go to Regional Recycling. Here's a current list of fees.
Amazing staff that were incredibly helpful. I had lost my keys an hour earlier and went back to search. Debris on the floor is regularly swept into the pit so it was unlikely that I would find them. After being shown around and searching with a staff member to no avail, I went back to my car and was pulling out of the parking lot. Then, I saw the staff member calling out and running after me with my keys in his hands! He had gone above and beyond to search for them even after I had left, and found them in a very unlikely place about to be pushed into the pit. They saved my day!
If you have a matress or boxspring as well as garbage you have to go through twice and wait in line again.
Almost every time I come here the staff members are so unfriendly, short tempered and rude. It’s to the point here now where I’m becoming de-incentivized to go the extra mile. I understand that there are policies here for a reason, but the staff need to empathize and understand that most people brave 30 to 40 minutes traffic both ways to come and handle their waste the responsible/legal way. Greeting us with frustration and hostility will almost certainly result in folks ditching their waste in back alleys or worse, water ways and ditches. You want less trash in the streets, stop being so rude and hostile to people who come to do the right thing. It’s simple. I’ve had 3 grouchy/rude experiences in a row here now. Not only that, I witnessed other people having the same experience as they came in behind me in line.
Staff is very friendly, and they make the process of dropping stuff off really easy. Seperate areas for mattress, and electronics. At the time of this review its $151/tonne plus taxes and fees etc. Overall despite the smell it was a nice and easy experience
A place where you can get the job done. Dump your yard trimmings, garbage etc. Some of the people don't seem like they want to work here or constantly having a bad day. I've been here a few times for different reasons and dumping garbage is quite straightforward. The garbage bay today not only had its usual garbage / rotten smell but also a very pungent chemical odour that burned my eyes, made me choke and almost faint. Not sure what it was but I'll strongly recommend wearing a mask that filters the air for gas particles before coming here to dump.
