**UPDATES** 1/12/2022 With the insect issue, I have reported to the Dept. of Environmental Health for food safety. After the inspection, the inspector noted that the facility has several live cockroaches, as well as some fruit flies and drain flies. The facility was closed for several days. I personally would not go again and urge any viewer to reconsider before ordering or dining in. **UPDATES** We went back to the restaurant and bring the food back in as the manager required proof. When we arrived, she insist that “we put the bug in”, as they don’t have this types of bug. It is eye opening that they can shamelessly refused to take any responsibility for their own issue. AND, she claim that is NORMAL to serve food WITH STEEL SCRUBBER, since they use it to scrub their pot. She wanted to show us the kitchen instead of taking responsibility for the serious food hazard they served. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM!!!!!!!!! ————————————————————————- I would give 0 star if I could. We are celebrating my mom's birthday, so we decide to order takeout. 3 out of the 5 dishes have serious issue. 1. Soup has a big bug in it. see photo 2. Dish has a steel scrubber in it see photo 3. The worst Spicy Bean Curd with Shredded Pork we have ever had. We contact the restaurant for the first two issues. Neither the waiter nor the manager can speak proper English to under the situation, she hung me up without apologizing nor trying to understanding the situation. My mom called again to speak in mandarin, and she insist that it has to do with COVID and it is normal to have steel scrubber in dishes !? She request us to drive back and show her the food, and mention that she can not manage anyone in the restaurant. NO APOLOGIES, NO ACTION on the dishes after we called. I have serious concern about the food quality, management, and customer service.

This no frill restaurant is my go-to for comfort Chinese food. The food has been consistently good and their duck is better than other places so far. Good portion overall. The only thing I do not recommend is their water. It smells funky. Not sure if it’s their plastic cups. The older women working there provided efficient service.

I love Chinese food, but this one's not worth 17.49$. Their food quality is really bad for the price. The beef, and chicken are tough as hell. Sorry, but I will never come back again. Food: 2/5

Portion was bigger than average. Our 3 combination meat of roasted duck, chicken and pork came in thick pieces. The meat were tasty but they were too cold, it would tasted better if they were being heated. The other dishes took very long to be served we almost wanted to cancel the orders. I believe there are many other better food options in this area.

2/5 Updated Jan 2023: has really fallen off, prices increased drastically, portions definitely not as large anymore, especially the Chinese bbq. 4/5 Original review 2017: Decent value for the money, some of the better Chinese bbq in the area. Other dishes are made well as well. Quick and fast service and food!

Great spot. Would recommend the fish porridge, spicy salt fish fillets, and Chow fun. Seriously, the porridge is hella flavorful, a true sleeper.

I ordered the bbq duck. Inexpensive, juicy, and delicious. One of the best bbq ducks in the south Bay Area so far.

Never knew kungpao chicken can be cooked this way better call it spicy celery chicken IMHO, learned something new from this place lol. Not to mention this is the most chewy chicken meat I've had in years. These guys are genius aren't they? Oh and when I entered the place to pick up my grubhub order the staff just ignored my existence while they just sat there chilling :

If don't want to get food POISONING, stay away from this dishonest place!!! They use leftover pork from other guests for your dish!!! See the rice on it.

The restaurant was used to be one of the best family style Chinese restaurants in the Bay area. Now, it becomes so so place because of staff changes, increasing price and small portion. I need to find a new place to go...
