Waited so long to come here and no regrets at all! We ordered the cheese volcano chicken and some drinks alongside a cheese corn which was enough for 3 people! The bread bowl fondue idea was brilliant with the cheese volcano. You get to dip the chicken in and after all is said and done, you can also tear pieces of the bread off with that cheese flavour all infused into the bread! The drinks are amazing to look at! And that’s a sight on its own! Definitely coming back here for the food! Service was great too! Very attentive except for when we got the bill. They forgot that part. But a very pleasant experience! Great job overall! Follow me on IG @thirst_and_taste for better pics, vids and more amazing content!
Weekday Thursday at 7 pm, you can expect this establishment to be a full house with limited to no seating. They have a patio area that is well insulated and heated so, even on a windy/cold day, you won't even feel it. I highly recommend dining there! We ordered the Cheese Volcano Chicken, a Canadian pint beer, and a Long Island. The chicken took a while to arrive, but the presentation when it did arrive looked great. The sauce was well seasoned and the mozzarella cheese bowl in the middle was delicious. I recommend dipping your chicken and eating as many as you can while the cheese is still stringy and hot! Cold cheese is less satisfying to eat with such good chicken. Overall: Food: 7 out of 10 Staff: 8 out of 10 Décor/Atmosphere: 8 out of 10
A solid solid Korean fried chicken restaurant my friends and I frequent for outings and meetups. Really nice accessible flavours, well prepared chicken and decent sized portions as well. Really hard to go wrong here if you're in the mood for good fried chicken.
Decent for a local Korean fried chicken place. The atmosphere is pretty lively and the restaurant has televisions to watch games came tonight to watch the second half of the Superbowl. Overall was satisfied with the service and the food, but will say the chicken was a little bit on the drier side compared to other Korean fried chicken places. This place also has a heated patio which makes it a nice option in colder weather if you want to eat outside.
The food was generally good until my friend found out one of the chicken pieces was still uncooked. We talked to one of the servers about the incident and showed him the piece. However, to our concern, he said it was just the colour of the chicken. I work in a kitchen, so I know how properly cooked chicken and uncooked chicken looks like. I should have taken a photo of the piece. Will not come back.
We visited around 1:30pm, wasn't busy. - The fried chicken was very tender and juicy, we got the small size, i cant remember how much pieces exactly, but it was around 7-9 pieces. Good for 3 people to share. It was flavourful, crispy and freshly made. They did put some cheese on top, but honestly did not even notice any addition to its overall flavour. - Sweet potato fries were also freshly made, dipping sauce options were disappointing, the one they gave did not even blended well with the fry, tasted like dill ranch not my preferred flavour - Katsu plate had 2 pieces of chicken, with a very cheap serving of rice lol. The flavour was good at least. - Corn cheese was lacking of cheese, serving size could be better for the price we paid - Cleanliness could be better, 3 out of our 4 cups were dirty. - Service was timely, and servers were attentive and got what we asked for - I would say prices of most items are reasonably priced Parking: Paid parking is at the back, cheaper from 6am - 6pm per hr.
We dined here during the period where there are minimal restrictions in the city and only outdoor patio dining is allowed. The spot we got was warm enough because of the heating installed. Prior to getting to sit down there was a wait list and it took around at least 30 minutes before we got the textback that our spot for 2 was ready. We did not get to sample a variety of dishes because of our small group of 2 people. Our order was full Gold Fried Chicken $29.99, and Kimchi Fried Rice$12.99 to go along with it. I have no complaints with what we ordered. I liked the cheesiness of the fried chicken, and, at least for my taste, it paired well with the slight spiciness of the Kimchi Fried Rice. The order amount was a lot for 2 people to finish so we still had a lot of chicken for take away. Overall, it was a nice dining experience. Service was sufficient. I also have nothing to say about the price, taste, and value of the food.
We ordered the garlic chicken, kimchi fried rice, volcanic cheese chicken wing and corn. Food was great! and service was exceptional with friendly servers. Would come back!
I think this was one of the best korean fried chicken spots I’ve tried if I could rate it a 4.5 I would!!! Definitely will be back. The boneless chicken was sooo tender and juicy, perfect sizes too. The sauces paired with each batch of chicken were very flavourful - red chilli sauce was balanced well with sweetness, cheese sauce is always amazing especially when it’s gooey which it was. The only thing id the rosé tteokbokki tasted more like tomato sauce than other ones I’ve tried. Overall, not too expensive and everything was sooo delicious!
Craving for Korean Fried chicken for a while. First time trying this location. We ordered half original and half supreme chili fried chicken. We were impressed with how flavorful and crunchy of their chicken. The order comes with potato wedges and rice cakes. They also serve the Korean pink radish pickles & coleslaw as side dishes. Staff were very friendly. A bit pricy in term of the portion. We paid total $55 $52 and $3 parking for an afternoon snack.
