I felt very safe going to the clinic. The employees were so kind and cheerful, answering all my questions and were extremely supportive. The procedure was almost painless and took only a few minutes. Overall just a very welcoming, safe and comfortable place. The phone can take a while to answer, but I understand that others phoning are in different situations then myself. I didn't mind the wait knowing that others were getting the help they need.

I wish I could give less than 1 star for the service or lack there of that I experienced on the phone. The wait on hold on the phone seemed like forever. This was already a stressful time. Waiting on hold for so long made it worse. When my call was finally picked up, it sounded like I was talking to a cranky old lady with a raspy smokers voice. She did not make me feel comfortable at all. I wanted to book for the pill abortion option and when I asked about it she sounded annoyed that had asked about it because she told me she had to explain it to me. Isn’t that her job to do? I don’t know why she had to sound so cranky about it. She made it sound like it was a more negative option and an inconvenience. Shouldn’t this be my choice entirely??? I shouldn’t be swayed one way or another. I hung up the phone without booking an appointment for anything. A few days later I booked in with the clinic in Calgary for a surgical abortion. When I called Calgary they were so friendly and warm on the phone. That meant more to me than anything during this difficult experience and I am content with the decision I made.

During this stressful time, I can understand how long the phone calls can take but I took it as other people need help as well. The wait was only around 15 mins. The nurse on the phone was very respectful and had an understanding voice on what I needed to do next. The day of my appointment, I was nervous, scared and afraid. All of the nurses, counsellors, and doctor couldn't have been better. They were the best. If this is going to be a hard time for you in your choice, these people will help you out.

the only place I have felt safe, comfortable, and not judged. the only place where I felt comfortable crying in front of the staff because I knew I could feel safe around them. The only place where I was told that it wasn't my fault that my birth control had failed me, where they helped me decide on a new birth control (a mirena!) that would help keep me safe.

So hard to get ahold of to answer phone! I had trouble getting a hold of someone to book an appointment. And then they make you call before hand to confirm your appointment. I waited on the phone for over 45 minutes. Also, I had complications with my IUD over a long weekend and could not get ahold of anyone. The website says they have a medical number you can contact someone in case of emergency. Yet no where was a phone number. Luckily I knew to call 811 and then go to emergency.
