Had a business dinner at Woolastook Wharf and wow—what a seafood experience.nnI’ll admit, I’m not usually a fan of the northside, but personal preferences aside, the food here was outstanding. I ordered the lobster & scallops fettuccine and was blown away by the portions—loaded with seafood, no skimping whatsoever. Prices looked a little steep at first, but after that meal, I can honestly say it was worth every penny. You can taste the talent in the kitchen.nnService was a touch slow I would’ve grabbed another drink if asked sooner, but to be fair, the place was absolutely packed—and on a Wednesday night no less. Clearly, they’re doing something right.nnIf you’re in Fredericton and craving top-notch seafood, this is my #1 recommendation. Fresh, generous, and worth every dollar.
While visiting the area, I asked my hotel for a good seafood restaurant, and they recommended Wolastoq Wharf. I’m glad they did! I was seated right away, and my server was fantastic—friendly, helpful, and full of great recommendations. I started with the calamari and had the Lobster Haddock for my main course—both were absolutely delicious.nnWater and fresh bread were brought out as I arrived, which was a nice touch. The atmosphere is cozy but well laid out, with beautiful artwork, a bright and clean interior, and even a lovely patio space outside.nnThe food was full of flavor, served in generous portions, and priced very reasonably. This restaurant truly exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended! I’d suggest making a reservation if you’re planning to go—it’s clearly a popular spot for good reason.nnUPDATE: I enjoyed it so much the first time and decided to come back for a second visit. The second time was even better! This is a MUST try restaurant when visiting the area.
Everything was delicious. Lots of seafood with the portions. Some classic dishes executed very well as well as some modern flavours too.nThe Wharf is touted as one of the best places in Freddy to check out and it's true
Our service today started very, very slow. When we got seated, we were practically ignored for 15 minutes and didn't even get to talk to a server about ordering or any questions.nOnce we got our apps, I though things might start to turn around, but I was dead wrong. We ended up having to wait 1 and a half hours on the windy patio, and once again didn't see any staff whatsoever for the whole wait, which we felt was unreasonable.nFinally, the food was only decent, with most items being over seasoned or somewhat bland. Overall, I would not recommend coming here, unless you have a lot time to burn on your hands. Infact, this experience derailed me and my family's night visiting the area, and we will not be coming back next time we are in Fredericton.
The seafood pasta was really tasty. The chowder was a bit bland to my taste. Overall service was a little slow but seafood tastes fresh.
