This is a high quality restaurant with tapas options. There is a happy hour which offers discounted drinks from 4-6pm. Our waiter, Ivan, was upbeat, knowledgeable about the menu, and very friendly. The food was great! The steak was cooked perfectly and the fish was full of flavor. The only thing that wasn’t great was the calamari. The flavor was there, but it wasn’t cooked great. Otherwise, I highly recommend this place and will be returning to try the other offerings.
So I've been frequenting the chophouse for a couple of years now. I am very fond of their h Happy Hour 20 local crafts changing as much as possible ice cold! Hands down the coldest beer in town!! So that's pretty much when I mostly go in. With that being said unfortunately I personally can not speak of the food from my own tastings, however all of my time spent there not once have I heard a negative comment from any of the patrons seated around me typically at the bar unless when the patio is open. Then sometimes I'll enjoy a book in the nice weather with an amazing view! I Have to say a million bravos to it's staff!! Through the busy times to the slow times I've observed how well functioning the staff they have on board! And EVERYONE even hotel staff great me on first name basis. A special shout out to Alicia, Danielle, Jodi and James all my favorite bartenders! Ivan though a server he still knows who I am! As well as the back of the house Chef Victor, Cari and Dawn! Thank you a for treating me like family and always having a good time with me when possible!!! Hidden gem indeed!
I was here in March. Hands down 5 stars. The meal I had with a group of friends was FA- nominal. I’m saddened that my most recent visit was not. $250 for over cooked bland steak, with a side of mac and cheese that felt like you just took a bite off of a whole onion. My wife’s meal was the same way. Scallops were so so. The soups were good though and services was still ok. Who ever worked the kitchen tonight, you could be an all star for Golden Corral.
Fantastic restaurant!!! Great food and fantastic service from James, Alicia, Ivan, and the chef!!! The food is always fantastic every time and consistent, the staff is always friendly and goes above and beyond to make sure I’m taken care of, and the atmosphere is beautiful. I love this small gem in Janesville!! It only keeps getting better with every visit!!!
Absolutely fantastic!!! We went for a birthday dinner, they treated us like royalty! Food came quick, tasted amazing and our waitress was extremely personable! Jodie you gave us one of the best restaurant experiences in a while!
Staff were very nice and professional. The atmosphere is very nice. All out of dry aged steaks. Food arrived prepared as requested, but the steaks lacked seasoning, I suppose they rely on the toppings you choose to add on to bring all the flavor but I like the meat to have some flavor on its own. Truffle mac portion was sizeable but unfortunately I didn't care for the flavor. The Lobster Bisque had good flavor, just lacking lobster. Overpriced for the food quality.
Amazing meal! Stated with martinis with Danielle. Yum and shared delicious lobster bisque and steak, sea bass, Brussels sprouts, and mushroom risotto. Amazing! Finished with out of this world carrot cake! Best meal ever!!!!!
Our Favorite Steak place! This is the second time I’ve been here after covid I went this Friday 3/18 and let me tell you the experience was just as amazing as the first time we came which was last year for Valentine’s Day. It was a nice date night that we haven’t had in a while The staff were so wonderful We started off with appetizers The Buffalo Fried Alligator OMG this is my favorite it taste just like chicken and the sauce makes it taste even better . We each has 2 oysters those were very fresh and delicious as well. For drinks he ordered the 12 macallon scotch I had the Wissota sunrise it’s was delicious For our main meal I ordered the 12 oz New York Strip He ordered the 14 oz Ribeye Sides for 2 we ordered the Garlic chive whipped potato With bacon so good I want more!!!! And the best asparagus ever Make sure when you order you steaks to consider the Enhancements We have been to many steak places around and in madison this by far is our favorite!!!!
Had dinner as part of a birthday party. Service, drinks and food were great. We had the dry aged steak and it was outstanding along with the mushroom risotto and a strawberry cheesecake tiramisu. Wide selection of spirits and wine and many options within the menu.
I had an amazing experience with my fiancé! Our waitress, Jodi was wonderful! Very friendly and attentive! Our food was just amazing. I will be coming back!
