Whiskey ranch was decent. The atmosphere is western bar feel and they did a good job inside. I sat at the bar where the service seemed average, nothing great but not disappointed either. The food was okay.... I got the 12oz ribeye with sweet potato fried and corn. I was very disappointed in the food, the steak was cooked okay but had a rubbery/rough texture. Definitely tender. The corn looked really good but the taste just wasn't there. The sweet potato fries were 50/50 on being burnt but overall tasted good. I was happy to see they had a good cider on tap as I don't drink beer. Overall decent, but being as I was passing through I probably wouldn't go again.

Love this place. Great food and drinks. Awesome atmosphere. Parking can be a bit troublesome but that's the same for most anywhere downtown. Went with my son and had the Big Louie Burger. He had grilled cheese with mac and cheese. My burger seemed messier than I remember the last time I had it but it still hit the spot. Pulled pork and onion straws on a burger with lettuce, tomato, and barbecue sauce. Yum! I'd say I'd be back but that's a given. Probably my favorite place to stop for food in the area is Whiskey Ranch  I just read another review mentioning about the double tall glass being just a mason jar style glass sort of small. I suppose that is accurate as I got one this day as well. $7.50 for that drink yet that seems to be becoming more average

Stopped in for a late lunch with my wife. Each of us ordered burgers. They were cooked well, flavorful, and loaded tall. Only negative was I ordered a double tall drink and it came in a short "mason jar" type cup. Would have liked more drink at price point. Overall good experience and will be back.  Kid-friendliness: Bartender and wait staff were friendly and personable.

Holy cow, about once a year I'll find a really insane burger and this was the day! This was called the Carolina Brisket Burger, and it was so tall that I had to take the brisket off to eat it. I wish I would have measured it with the pint glass, as it was probably just as tall.  Had it cooked medium rare and the flavor, and the way it interacted with the other toppings was just perfect. Sweet potato fries were awesome too! Our server was really fun, and she took care of us as well!

Very good food, friendly service. Loaded fries were delicious and could have been our meal. My husband had a burger and he only ate half, it was large portions and tasty food.

Every time I come here it's delicious.  Only bad thing is I wanted the alcohol shake which they don't have anymore  So hungry forgot to take pictures of the awesome burger with brisket and sweet potato fries! Fried green tomatoes were delicious also!Food: 5/5

I ordered the meatloaf tower for dinner take out and though the meatloaf itself was pretty decent tasting but there was a Whole lot of gravy with no bread to go with it and I just thought it was too overpriced at $17.50 a pop. I mean that’s ridiculously outrageous, who do they think they are?!  It felt more like a $11.50 dish at best. Also the “garlic” mashed potatoes it comes with didn’t even really have a a hint of garlic, I was looking for a touch more of that garlic taste in them. I will not be coming back! 1 star

Stellar food.  Nice low lighting adds to coziness.  Friendly wait staff.  Great beer selection. Two visits to Whisky Ranch and both were +10.  Whole She Bang loaded fries are epic good.  Fried greenbeans crispy and flavorful.  Honky Tonk burger awesome both visits.  My grown sons tried 4 of the other burger selections and rated them highly, especially brisket burger - they left full from large portions.  French fries even extra yummy. Waitress and bartender above par professional and friendly. Try it! Edit: added more photos from additional visits.  Every visit consistently good.  Found out today they offer a birthday drink, too late to use it for our birthday visit, but sounds amazing.

The fried green tomatoes app was fantastic! I would order this alone as a dinner for one. We also had the Honky Tonk burger and sweet potato fries. Emma is a fantastic waitress!  We will be back again!

My final night of stay in Janesville for work, second visit to Whiskey Ranch and still not disappointed. Had a glass of local Driftless Glen Bourbon, ordered the Texas Hot Beef and grateful for the amazing hospitality, great service and wonderful atmosphere. My go to when in Janesville!
