Wintergreen's Golf & Grill

Mostly great food, quality dining. Comfortable atmosphere, choice of dining room or grill/bar area. Grilled meatloaf is excellent, as are burgers, steaks and fresh grown salads. Friendly staff! EDIT: Prime Rib is served unseasoned. No dry rub, nothing. If you are looking for a crispy garlic seasoned crust on your prime rib, it's not here. Huge disappointment. Manager peeked out to see who we were but didn't come talk to us. :( Years of regular dining here. Go with pasta, burgers, or meatloaf & avoid Prime Rib (2/17/18 update). DROPPED FROM 5 STARS. Something has changed.

The food was absolutely delicious, but sitting in the sports bar area in the middle of the day wasn't the best decision. We ate here midday, and we were seated in the sports bar area rather than the fancier dining room area. We had to move seats a few minutes after arriving because they literally have an indoor driving range. The sound of people whacking golf balls gets old quickly. Request the dining room, if you like a quiet dinner, it looked very nice and peaceful. Aside from the noise and the slightly uncomfortable high chair seating, the service was adequate (but not enthusiastic), and the overall atmosphere wasn't bad. The real star was the food. After a nice salad and a tasty bread course, I ordered macaroni and cheese, and my girlfriend ordered the Alfredo. However, the humble names given to these entrées don't do justice to the thick, creamy, and downright luxurious sauces that were served over the top of generous portions of pasta; nor do such humble names mention the perfectly grilled chicken and, in the case of the macaroni and cheese, the fresh scallions that adorned the dish. I added a little hot sauce to mine, and it was heaven! Seriously. The food was Great. With a capital G. Honestly, I didn't even notice the guy whacking golf balls after my food arrived; I was in a cheesy Nirvana.

great place to eat,fast service even on mothers day,with dinner (would have gotten a free drink)and a free dessert.

We went there just for a quick drink on our way home from the cities and we were very happy we stopped there! The bartender Terry was great. She had such personality and great customer service. The other servers were very friendly with us and everyone else at the bar. First time there and we had a great experience, will be returning!
