Windermere Dental

The hygienist I had that cleaned my teeth was absolutely fantastic. If this review was based on my cleaning only it would be 5 stars. However, I've never found a dentist that I liked and was not fond of this dentist either (Dr. Wong). But I will continue to go here as everyone else was friendly and the clinic was very clean. Wanted to update my review: Dr. Lai is GREAT! My second experience with a different dentist was much more pleasant and I am changing my review to a 5-star.

I don't understand where are these bad reviews are coming from as this is a wonderful dental clinic. I had seen Dr. Eric Lai in the past at his old location, and I decided to seek him out for a check up and cleaning. I had gone to a different dentist about a year ago, and they said that I needed 3 fillings and they were ready to book me in for them. I was skeptical about this, and so I decided not to book. When I came in to see Dr. Lai, he stated that I do have cavities, but they are still very small and not at the point where I would need to spend money and time on fillings. It's nice to know that there are still honest dentists out there! I received my cleaning from Rachel, who was very pleasant to talk to. She wasn't too rough with her tools either, and I appreciate that. The receptionists were very welcoming, accurate with my information, and got me seated in a timely matter. Like I said before, I really don't understand were all these bad referrals are coming from. I will definitely be coming coming back, probably for a lifetime of dental care. :) Thanks again!

This is by far the best dental place I've ever had in all my experiences with dental facilities. They have the best dental assistants and hygienists one can ever ask for. Receptionists are super friendly and makes you feel like you are at home. Evian is the best and most friendliest receptionist and dental assistant you can ever meet. Most times when you go to the dentist you dread the visit but I'm actually looking forward to each and every visit because the staff makes me feel so comfortable and welcome. The hygienist Dianna is a super star. She is the best hygienist ever! My teeth has never been better and I can't wait till my next appointment! The Dentists are fantastic as well. Most of the time you feel like they want to replace a cavity where it's not needed but not here! The dentists makes you feel like you are being treated with care and they always double check with you in the event there is a big procedure required. If you have to change dentist or are looking for a dentist try Windermere Dental, they are top notch and the best in Edmonton! Angela

I started going to Windermere Dental something like 3 or 4 years ago. At that point, I hadn't been to a dentist for about 3 years as I had been in college and was new to Edmonton. I found Windermere Dental when I started to get some really sore teeth/gums. Initially, my teeth needed a lot of work. My hygienist very patiently took extra time to make sure that my teeth were clean when I left, and my dentist filled 8 cavities (I have been prone to cavities since I was little). Since then, I have seen my dental hygienist every 6 months and my dentist annually and I have had no issues with my fillings, no pain in my teeth/gums and I have always received professional and friendly service from all of the staff. I cannot comment too much on price as I never shopped around, but I will say that the staff always check what I have coverage for and always confirm what I would like done (fluoride with my cleaning, etc.) so as not to charge me for more than I need/want. The clinic is very bright and clean and always has a friendly atmosphere. I have never actually written a review before but I felt I had to when I saw some of these bad reviews that did not come close to describing my dental clinic! I continue to go to Windermere Dental even though I now live in the northeast and I would recommend them to anyone looking for dental work.

Ok, I have absolutely had enough with this dental studio! Avoid them at all costs! They are almost double the price of other clinics in the area AND they try to charge you an emergency fee even for non-emergent appointments that you have to wait a month for. We have also been in to have the exact same braces wire glue replaced FOUR times in 8 months when work completed by any other dentist has lasted 10+ years! Absolutely unacceptable! How these dentists even graduated is blowing my mind right now! The worst dental clinic we have been to in our lives! Just an update since they responded to this review in attempts to save their skin... They never actually called back or responded to my complaint personally nor was anything done to fix the issues we had. This clinic attempted to fix bracket glues by simply adding more glue on top of the remaining glue. We have since shifted up the street to Petrolia dental. This dental clinic is phenomenal! Much cheaper service! They don't charge an emergency fee unless it's actually an emergency (even if you go in the same day to get a glue fixed since they have an opening and you can come in). They also actually FIXED our dental issues instead of having the same issue multiple times. Avoid Windermere Dental if you actually want good service.
