Story

Winchester Hospital is the first community hospital in Massachusetts to earn Magnet recognition, the American Nurses Association’s highest honor for nursing excellence. As the northwest suburban Boston area’s leading provider of comprehensive health care services, the 229-bed facility provides care in general, bariatric and vascular surgery, orthopedics, pediatrics, cardiology, pulmonary medicine, oncology, gastroenterology, rehabilitation, radiation oncology, pain management, obstetrics/gynecology and a Level IIB Special Care Nursery. Winchester Hospital has clinical affiliations with several nationally recognized hospitals in the region, including Children’s Hospital Boston, Tufts Medical Center and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.

This is the best hospital I have been to. I had my little boy there, the maternity team is the best mostly one of their nurse Kelly on delivery unit, she is awesome, amazing and very professional. She has a heart of gold and so much patience, thank you so much Kelly. When I also went to their ER, it only took 45 minutes for my baby to be seen, examined and transferred to children s hospital. I love this hospital and I would very much recommend it, can't wait to have my next baby because that is where am going . Please keep it up.

I was there last weekend (sept. 2017), and had a great experience on the whole. the staff were amazing. Thank you! The doc did make a suggestion about being checked into the hospital b/c they couldn't figure out what was wrong with my based on all of the other test they did, i decline, and thankfully was fine once i got a good morning sleep in my own bed. so we don't always have to do what they say, but use wisdom

Had a wonderful experience delivering my son at this hospital! Great staff that took excellent care of us.

Do not visit the ER here at all cost. Horrible staffing. The nurse was condescending the whole time, got annoyed because my friends keep calling her to help me out. She took one hour to bring me a cup of ginger ale that ended up making me feel even worse. I pretty much paid the ER bill to get one pill and lie down in pain for 4 hours with no care. Moreover, they got my insurance information wrong, so I called up to fix the issue. The person on the phone got aggressive, only because I was asking "too many" questions. I'm sorry to make you do your job. My ER discharge note says that they're suppose to send/call me a survey, but I still haven't gotten it. I guess this is why you never improve.

The care I received was excellent. The nurses, doctors and staff all did an amazing job. Everyone took the time to make sure I was comfortable and as pain free as possible.
