The staff is extremely unprofessional and show zero empathy or compassion to their human clients. My daughter recently had to have her beloved cat put down due to sudden untreatable health issues. Obviously, she was completely distraught and had spent that entire day crying. She was in the clinic for most of that afternoon with her 2 babies 2 & 1 yrs. She was asked to sign the forms stating that she wished to have her cat cremated. She also asked if she could please have a bunch of paw prints done so that she could have one made into a tattoo at a later date. Before leaving the clinic with her now very tired and crying little ones, she was told that she would be contacted once the cremation was finished and she could then come and collect the ashes. Over the next couple days while she waited, she ordered an urn that she loved and picked out a spot where she wanted to spread some of the ashes as well. A few days later she was contacted by the clinic and drove the 45 minutes back to the town to collect the ashes. She was presented with a 500+ bill and her cats ashes in an urn??? She was given 7 paw prints, a few could have been okay but weren't because they were smudged and the others that weren't smudged are hardly visible or not even an entire print. The one thing that she really did want and had specifically asked for, a complete mess. Obviously not thinking clearly and extremely emotional once again she took everything and returned home. Once she'd had some time to compose herself and look at everything, she called the clinic to inquire about the reason she'd been charged for something she hadn't asked for or agreed too. The staff member that answered the phone basically said it was her fault for not reading the form before signing, "you got what you signed for". There was no explanation, no apology, didn't acknowledge her loss even, they did nothing except make her feel like an idiot. Staff dealing with clients who've lost their pets are supposed to do what they can to help the grieving families through the already difficult and stressful situation, not add to it by doing as they please with the remains and the bill and then treat them like they're stupid!!! Unfortunately instead of this Staff member doing what she could to make the process easier, she made 10× worse. People like her have no business dealing with the public, and shouldn't be trusted to deal with clients that have experienced a loss. I wish there was a way to write a review and give no stars because that's what I would give this staff.
Made an appointment for our new puppy here. They cancelled the appointment less than an hour before vet was sick so no problem there at 7:50am. But when I called them back, the person who answered the phone was so rude. She didn't "know how someone would call before opening at 8am" and that I "have the wrong vet." She said some other off-color comments so I hung up and called back later to let them know I'm going elsewhere. Yeesh. No thanks.
They are such nice people and care about my pets as much as I do. And also have great advice when I have questions! Thank you staff!
Staff is always happy and helpful. Their happy to discuss options for your pets. And they go out of their way to help.
My little Yorkshire was attacked by a German Shepard. He was brought in during emergency hours. They worked hard to save the little guy. It paid off! He’s doing great, still in the healing stages with check up visits. Many of the vets and staff have been involved in his recovery and I’m happy with all of them.
I bring all of my horses & dogs here. I’ve gotten regular check ups done, my dog got fixed, horses teeth done with regular vaccines, my horse was cut as a yearling, & worked with them figuring out where & why my horse is lame on the front leg. All appointments were done professionally and the office staff are helpful and flexible. I’ve done both, paid in full and done payments, & they are very helpful with either. Great vet clinic and I am always please with the service. We just need more of them In Williams lake as sometimes they book 1-2 months out.
So sad and dissapointed you didnt had a appointment and you said its not urgent after told you i need to go to the IR. It was not possible to get an appointment during covid not even IR we had to wait more then 2 months and by then it was to late to save my beloved buddy from cluster epilepsy epilepsy my heart is forever broken
Excellent vet excellent staff Very compassionate and honest .
Highly recommend . My three dogs are clients of Williams Lake Vet hospital and have all received excellent care.
Wonderful staff, affordable, costs all up front, and they took the time to answer questions and reassure me without making me feel dumb.
