Beautiful park with great trails. We spent most of our time along the Chimney Rock trail and down by the river near the beach. We were able to walk along the sandstone ledges that overlook the river trail. Great park for a family to camp at. The camp staff and rangers are top-notch. We had some problems with our reservation and even though it was Labor Day weekend, they were incredibly helpful. I can't speak highly enough of them. They were excellent! The only downside that I saw was that the drive-in campground we were at didn't have any trees or undergrowth between sites. So, you were camping with your neighbors. The electric sites had a bit more tree line. With smokers next to us that was a bit of an issue. But, gorgeous park. Beach was cold but very clean. River beautiful, you get the idea......

Whitewater State Park is one of our favorite places! Its 30 minutes from downtown Rochester. We come for appts @ Mayo Clinic and its the best part of the day when we return to the park!! The staff is extremely helpful and pleasant. I recommend Whitewater State Park to anyone seeking a great experience!

A hidden gem of a state park. Wonderful trails up and down the river bluffs. Top 5 parks in the state. Great fishing and hiking. Camping is good with nice sites and facilities. Lots of programs at welcome center.

Beautiful park. The hike to Chimney Rock was great (with a 3 and 5 year old) the campgrounds were a little disappointing. It was more of a group camp, no privacy and not enough trees (especially for a state park) We would go back but probably would not camp there again.

Great location. Several great trails. The old campgrounds are really showing their age. The new campground has a nice bathroom.
