I came in on January 1st for dinner and the fries just about knocked my socks off!! They were piping hot, had just the right amount of potato content and were fried to a crispy perfection! I also spoke to the manager Steve and complimented him, the restaurant in general, as well as all the employees especially that stud making the fries. Let‘s go White Spot!!
The worst dining experience. My toddlers and I sat at a table waiting for 22 minutes without any acknowledgment from either waitress who walked by our table multiple times. A simple, “hi” or “we will be with you shortly” or “sorry about the wait” would have been fine. Instead, the waitresses walked past our table multiple times like we didn’t exist. I understand that service is slower due to the fallout of the pandemic but the Caucasian family who arrived after us were promptly served. We ended up getting up and leaving with no acknowledgment from any staff, no dinner, and two hungry toddlers. Disappointing for the White Spot brand. Will not be going here again. I would give this 0 stars if I could.
Our waitress was a delight!! Unfortunately I don't remember her name but she was amazing! We were there to celebrate my 30th daughter's birthday and we had a nice early dinner. She even had a free dessert. Very nice restaurant. My only complaint was my Flatbread was not as warm as I wanted to be but was tasty and I enjoyed it.Food: 4/5
I trained as a White Spot waitress 47 years ago. The rules and standards the manager taught us aren't observed that much now, IMO. For example, "Always acknowledge a new customer." Today, wanting a coffee and a bite, I stood at the front desk for quite a while, servers going back and forth, nobody making eye contact. It was after the lunch rush, not busy, with a lot of servers for the mostly empty tables. At last I called out toward the back to see if anyone would come. Someone seated me as if she were doing me a huge favour. After reading over and putting down the menus, I had a question. I still hadn't received any eye contact or any other form of acknowledgement from anyone, and I left. After all, my last few experiences here weren't that great. The food didn't taste good to me. It's past time to lose the sentimental attachment and find another place.
Wife and I came here from outside the area planning to visit the beach afterwards for breakfast on January 1, 2023. Very positive experience -- food was great and our server was wonderful. So glad that they were able to accommodate a gluten-intolerance as well.
I ordered ribs and called this location to confirm what type of meat they were pork or beef prior to placing the order. They indicated beef. Shortly after some were eaten, my SO started feeling ill. After researching learned they are actually pork and not beef. The employees need to be more educated on the foods they serve, this could have resulted in a more severe reaction!
Ordered some plates of appetizers and not very impressed! We both had feeling that all were out of packets and not fresh. Fried and fatty. Service was good but will not be coming back to White Spot for a long time.
I did not eat. I just took a glass of wine. Chatted with a kind retired teacher who has a few years over me. And a lot longer than me in White Rock when they came. They pay for my wine even giving me the half of there bottle!! Reminded me of the Lord,s care in small details. " The blessing of the Lord maketh rich and added no sorrow with it." Thank you Lord for this couple.
This absolutely condescending feministic waitress was so rude to me, as I tried to order a cake with alcohol infusion, but I still didn't finish my beer. Apparently, I cannot order a cake, since I didn't finish my beer yet. Absolutely ridiculous I know. My friend had to step in for me and point out her ridiculous attitude. As it wasn't the message, but the way she presented it. GROSS
