Whispering Oaks Campground

Stayed there off and on May june . Google maps took me directly there with no issues. Grounds were clean sites were big enough having room in between RV s. Owners very friendly. I was there due to death in my family. Owner was more than helpful to me even loaned me folding chairs for service. With raising her kids-school and sports they were there limited times and yes honor system in place. I hope others honor that. Beautiful grounds. All I can do is thank them for hospitality and kindness

Fourth of July week. No management presence all week. Sites were ok. Night sign in with payment on the honor system. Showers were clean and semi lit. Grounds had equipment and trash lying around perimeters and among the tent camping sites. Sites were poorly marked. Was very quiet. Some permanent sites but mostly pull thrus with campers staying only a night or two. No recreational activities other than a playground.

Beautiful large trees. Older playground but still works. Sites are a bit small, but similar to most rv type sites. Didn't try their restrooms, so I can't comment on that.

Roaring highways and difficult Google maps, but comfortable as well as relaxing, especially for a road trip stopping point.

Very reasonable price for having electric, water, and sewer hookup. Very nice quiet Park but still close to the interstate.
