It's a perfect place to view the sunset in Ames. The scenery is beautiful and they have pretty scenic walking trails. Local gem, definitely. Good place to bring your dog for some exercise too!

Great place to hike or bike around, or have a picnic. Story County Conservation puts on lots of fun, family friendly, educational and recreational activities year-round. Can do star gazing at the observatory through the Story County club.
