I’m not sure of his name, but the doctor we had was phenomenal! He was so fun with my son and made him actually like the doctor. We went on thanksgiving and he was still so nice and thorough. Much appreciated!!
i arrived at the walk in at 9:25 but wasn’t checked in until 9:55 so that right there was starting off on the wrong foot. On top of that there were only 6 other people in the waiting room, and times were at 45 mins .. it is now 11:15 and when i asked if i was coming up soon. The lady at the desk had the nerve to give me attitude and tell me the board says up to 2hrs before even though i was here well before they changed it. I ALWAYS have issues and problems with Ascension. just get rid of the whole corporation, hopefully i can get called back sometimes soon.
Glass partitions are between the patient and registrar, resulting in patients having to speak loud enough for EVERYONE to hear their personal info while checking in. As I’m sitting in the waiting room typing this, I can hear every patient’s name, address, and medical complaints. Some of the medical issues are fairly personal such as pregnancy issues, STDs, etc. Patient privacy should really take a higher priority here! I still can’t get over what I’m hearing right now…this is shocking.
Terrible wait time, overheard them telling a lady they were going to grab a nurse to determine if the walk in or er was more suitable. ive been here a little over a hour, and this lady is still sitting in here with her clearly distressed child for over 15 minutes now.
If I could give zero stars I would. Only place I know that you wait over an hour, watch how rude the receptionists can be to people the whole time, and then get called back into a room that’s CLEARLY not cleaned. Once the lady noticed she ushered me back into the waiting room another 5 minutes I’m sure they cleaned well in that time... After the initial questions.. I had to wait another 45 minutes until a NP came in to see me. States how I’ll need an X-ray and she will call with results today and send whatever I need into the pharmacy. I get home at 1pm, mind you this walk in adventure started at 10am... by 2 pm I realize I’m not receiving a call. I call the number, after being rudely talked to about how “walk in doctors don’t work for them” I guess I’m supposed to wait another day in pain ? Absolutely the worst customer service I could EVER imagine. Place clearly only cares about charging the insurance and taking peoples hard earned money and then not even help them.
This hospital ER needs a complete infrastructure overhaul. They don't have TIME to do essential tests and just want to get people out of there. I took my finance there because we feared a blood clot or cardiac episode but all they did was an EKG and x-ray, but NO BLOOD TESTS. THEY REFUSED AND GAVE HIM A PRESCRIPTION FOR PEPCID AC. I'm sorry what??? You don't have time for a blood test? THAT'S WHY WE CAME HERE. This hospital is overbooked and overworked. Go to Froedert if you want to be cared for at the maximum capacity of medical science. My finance asked if he could wash his hands and he was asked WHY. These people are not given the space and tools they need to care for the population of Racine. 1990 called they want their hospital back.
If I didn't love my doctors I would be so gone from this place. They double bill, tell you that you owe money when insurance has already paid, are rude and unorganized. Overall business practices are just shady AF. Once again - LOVE THE DOCTORS AND NURSES, if they could bring their billing back in house they would probably get a better rating. Key takeaway - don't trust any bill you get from them and keep open communication with your insurance company. They will try to make it beyond difficult to get answers, don't let them. Dropping this from a 2 to a 1 star since the service has gotten even worse. I resent my EOB since they didn't show it paying 100%, and within 3 days get a notice stating my bill is due immediately. Once again, I would recommend you to go ANYWHERE BUT ASCENSION. If you have to go to Ascension, make sure you are diligent about checking your bill, they are crooks.
Unfortunately, I have used this service a number of times over the past few days years, and I have been impressed every time. I am familiar with the medical system, so have a sense of quality care. The staff have been consistently professional, friendly, respectful yet easy to speak with, and knowledgeable. I have felt my issues addressed with care and supported with follow up services as needed. Only one time did I wait for more than 15 minutes, on a Saturday afternoon. They actually seem to have quite an efficient system in place. The setting is clean and comfortable. I am very grateful that such dependable, quality care has been available when I needed it.
I was rushed to the ER at this hospital after an accident. I was taken for x-rays and told I had a broken nose and need to follow up with a doctor. I explained I had excruciating pain on my side but they said they saw nothing on the x-rays and that it was probably bruising. A week later I sought care at another hospital in Franklin and after taking x-rays they found 5 broken ribs with a small puncture in one lung!! They couldn't believe the previous hospital didn't notice that on the x-rays. When I followed up with the doctor for my nose, he said the broken nose should have been fixed at the ER but it's too late now, the bone has already settled and would need surgery to fix it at this stage. The level of neglect and being misdiagnosed is beyond acceptable. The fact that I have to still pay the bill for this level of care is even more frustrating.
Brought my ill child in at the recommendation of the nurse and the room was filled with people. 1 person had their mask on completely. Everyone else in the busy waiting room had it under their nose. We walked right out and went to Aurora. Why bother having signs up saying a mask must be worn if it’s not going to be enforced. Will not even attempt to go to this facility again.
