Lost my bride in Sept 2021 at this hospital. The nursing staff I'd like to give 4+ stars... but the hospital itself was not accommodating at all And would not think outside of the box for options for care. I was left not being able to visit or even enter the facility due to "covid restrictions"... My bride didn't want to go almost prophesying that they would let her die. But believing that she wouldn't make it to another hospital further away, I made the decision to have her brought here. I have tremendous guilt and anger over this decision. God and my bride forgive me.
Wife went it for what should have been a simple procedure involving her bladder. After being discharged, ended up back in the doctors office about 2 hours later with EXTREME pain. As it turned out it was the doctor's order not to discharge her until she could perform a certain function, which she was unable and needed to have a catheter put in. His instruction was in her chart which either the nurse never read or did read it and ignored. The next day I called Patient Relations to file a complaint. Left a voice message and NO ONE called me back. Nursing staff knew my wife couldn't perform the function needed because my wife told them. Stay away from this hospital.
They are anti children. They say they won’t let kids in because they don’t want the kids getting sick, yet they let elderly family members come visit who are more at risk. Hell I seen a whole damn family of elderly guest there! 6 family members all 50+ yet I’m told only one guest per patient and they can’t be a minor. They won’t let minors into the ER so if you have an emergency you have to find a babysitter before you can go receive help. They won’t let children in the main hospital either. Tried to drop off some snacks for my husband only for a nurse to ambush me and try to lecture me. I’m at a point where I don’t think I even want to deliver my baby there next month. This place is so anti children I’m not convinced they will treat me and my baby with respect. Update: had my baby there and guess what! They were horrible! They wouldn’t induce me because my doctor wasn’t there and they said they were “too busy” even though I was in tears from the contractions. I dilated enough so I couldn’t get turned away. Once in postpartum, I couldn’t get a nurse to help me with anything. I had to ask for them to bring me essentials such as pads, and disposable underwear. They had nothing in my room from me, not even hospital gowns. I buzzed for help with latching and couldn’t get a nurse to come to my room. Only nurse that actually tended to me was my night nurse. I suggest going to a different hospital to deliver.
I'm thankful to the surgical team and supporting staff at All Saints for making my procedure as pleasant as possible. They were professional and very informative through every step of the process. I felt comfortable and well taken care of, which helped me avoid all anxiety of having an operation. The facility was very clean and well maintained.
My husband was admitted to Ascension ER on Monday of this week. He was admitted with a blood alcohol level of 4.4. Upon being admitted he was put in a dark room with no TV and no bathroom and told to go to sleep. He was considered a fall risk and had rails on his bed. But no one ever came to check on him to toilet him. He got up on his own and walked to the public bathrooms to go to the bathroom. Despite the fact that he had a very high blood alcohol level he was never connected to any IV of any kind. He should’ve been at least connected to some kind of fluids. I was told that his wife by the nurse in charge that he would be released when he got down to a point to blood alcohol level. He was brought a meal of dried green beans and pork cutlets and was never given anything else when he told them that he was allergic to pork. No one came to see him. I only know that because I was there most of the time. When Dr. beer came in he treated him like he was a drunk off the street. He said that there was nothing they could do and that they would release him once his BAC was .2. Racine county human services came to evaluate him at that point. Despite the fact that they were told that there were four witnesses including a Mount Pleasant police officer that documented that he was suicidal by gun. They ignored that fact and told myself that the supervisor would not see any reason for detaining him. Dr. beer said that if there were any other problems with detox that I should send him in for another $1700 ambulance ride. The next day he woke up with a thready heart rate and massive detox symptoms that needed medical intervention. Needless to say I did not return him to Ascension and took him instead to Froedtert South in Kenosha. There we had a completely different experience. They immediately hooked him up to IV fluids and took his vitals and blood work and x-rayed his mini multiple wounds from three significant falls within the last 24 hours. Those falls were also reported to Ascension but not checked out. Dr. beer had him raise his left hand and his right hand and then said he was good to go. Dr. beer should not be practicing medicine. This man could’ve died without the intensive intervention from the Froedtert system.
I went to the er today. I have been having sinus and ear pain and other upper respiratory symptoms that triggered my asthma severely the last few days. I stuck it out with several over the counter meds. And inhaler. After coughing fits and breathing difficulties felt much worse. I choose the er over the urgent care as urgent care will tell you to go there anyway. Wow. Just wow. I was only checked if I was breathing and a quick ekg. Didn’t even acknowledge looking at my ears nose throat to see if there was anything there to be seen. I asked the dr to. He just said he didn’t have too and I was medication seeking. Again wow. I don’t know anyone who enjoys being sick. I clarified with him. If he was going to even look at anything to make sure if anything else was obviously causing the symptoms he said no. Told me to keep taking all the otc meds I have already been taking. Surprise. They weren’t working. He did not tell me that He sent the same said medication to the pharmacy. I found out later. Guess what. My insurance didn’t cover them. They’re otc meds. I had to go elsewhere to even be properly seen for what may caused the asthma symptoms and if there were other things happening that cause the symptoms I was experiencing.
I loved my doctors here, including Dr. Yun and especially my kids' doctor Dr. Snyderman, but this hospital forbids tubal ligations or vasectomies under all circumstances. I switched to Froedtert because I will not continue to be a patient at an organization that puts their own religious views over the well-being of their patients.
I was recently there for a knee replacement. The nurses the crew and everybody was excellent had nothing to say negative whatsoever. I was on the 4th floor and they all went above and beyond what you would think they would do for you. I would like to thank all of them for doing such a great job.
My sister had to be admitted into the hospital for heart related issues , we are from Michigan so it was hard for us to leave her while we went out if the country for a pre-planned trip. The staff was so good with caring for her they made sure she had excellent care, Tanisha , Meagan, Stephanie from the 2nd floor were great, Chandra Allen is my sister and they made sure she was taking care of during her entire stay. Thanks Staff
The most draconian rules around COVID19. My father in law is in serious condition and his only two sons are not allowed to see him together. ONE VISITOR!! And this is 9/20/22!!! WTH! RUDE STAFF. Uncaring and plain rude. Choose a different hospital.
